  1. And the Catwoman looks like a bad trace from one of his C.W. covers. Just horrible.
  2. I got some votes. My impeccable taste in art is validated. Here I come 2019
  3. Published/Unpublished covers: 1. Elodin - Absolute Sandman Overture Cover A - A great painted cover in a market that seems to be moving away from them. 2. Elodin - Black Hammer: Age of Doom #1 3. Selhorn - 4001 A.D. #1 Cover - Haven't seen the comic, but I'd buy anything with this cover. 4. Kosenkranius - DC New 52 Batgirl #37 - D. Cooke 5. Lambert - Cho Black Widow #2 Cover - a Cho cover will ALWAYS get my vote. Some GREAT covers to choose from. But there can only be 5 votes, so I picked five I'd be more than happy with in my own collection or on my wall. Published Splash Pages & Pin-ups: 1. Bobby - Fantastic Four Annual #2 - Pin Up - Alicia Masters - Jack Kirby 2. Huneryager - Bill Ward - Having not read comics as a kid, and the occasional CRACKED, Bill Ward is as close to nostalgia as I get. 3. V - RETURN OF WOLVERINE #1 pg. 30 - Wolverine?, Leisten inks? I'm there 4. Sisson - Chris Bachalo: Doctor Strange (new) 16 p. 9-10 - How can you not like such a well laid out, dynamic, gorgeous DPS? 5. Mauricio - Spider-man #12 p15 splash - The addition of the black background and webbing is what makes this page get my vote.
  4. Benicio Del Toro = actor Guillermo Del Toro = director
  5. Hellboy? Is this some kind of a sick joke?
  6. The text is too small on that scan. Who is the artist that drew THE RED SKULL?
  7. MY LOWRY A slower year than most, but still managed to get some pieces I am very happy with. Two you may be familiar with if you've been following the BEST OF 2018 BUDGET EDITION thread. To CAF I posted: HELLBLAZER 132 cover by Fabry. What can I say. If I can purchase a Fabry HB cover in any given year it is certainly going to be one of the best pieces I get that year. LUCIFER 24 page 08. A semi-splash from Dean Ormston of a Mike Carey written story. Lucky to have found it. PREACHER 23 page 12. Harder and harder to find a decent PREACHER page (unless you like the gallery on eBay). X-23 by Marc Guaglione. Why not? PREACHER commission from Christopher Cayco. Great srtist, 2 week turnaround on a commission.
  8. my final page for this thread AMERICAN CENTURY 5 page 19 (published) ah, VERTIGO, I came for the stories, I stayed for the imprint
  9. @JoeRock, looking at this piece you posted in the 2018 Budget edition, I'm wondering if Pugh meant to have all 4 text boxes on the right side of the bottom panel?
  10. $40 < HELLBLAZER 65 Page 8 < $100 That's 3 HB pages in this thread so far. I'm liking this trend.
  11. AMERICAN CENTURY 4 Page 1 (Published) <$100 This series got cut short much too soon.
  12. Yes, that's an option also if you post as soon as you get it (or within that year). I was just sharing my method.
  13. I don't know if anyone else catalogs their purchases, but COLLECTORZ makes finding eligible pieces nice and easy. It's not the fact that I purchase so many pages, just that it's hard to remember 10 or 11 months ago exactly when the purchase was made or for how much. I highly recommend this program. It's meant for comics, but easily adapts to OA
  14. <------ This budget buyer will be able to post the same pieces in both "Best Of 2018"
  15. GARY MARTIN has done recreations of both Frazetta and Wrightson and done AMAZING jobs on each. Not sure what his schedule is now, but he does take commissions.
