  1. I think a good thread would be "Write your own comicbook" Take any OA and add your own text.
  2. This is INSANE . This cover only went for $130 , while panel pages from other series go for close to $300. I'm going to have to re-evaluate my collecting focus. Thats a GREAT cover! !
  3. This page and a dozen others will be added to my site over the next couple of days
  4. WOW, Great idea for a thread This week I added 18 pages from "The Story Of You-Know-Who" to my collection. Here is one of my favorites, a nice parody of the opening scene of Forrest Gump The other 17 pages will be on my site within the next week or so.
  5. What'd YOU get for your OA collection this week? Post your latest pieces that may or may not warrant thier own thread. Lets see what was on the market, but is now tucked away in your vaults. (obligatory greamlin war taken care of for this thread)
  6. I agree. When a pen/ink cover from a current title goes for $900-1000, a painting from a man that has mastered his craft is a bargain. I was just comenting on how quickly it had risen to the price it did. It ended at $500 which is still a good deal. I'm hapy I got the piece I did. Octavia Trilogy cover
  7. This cover is out of control: THIS ONE, HERE A typical cover peaks around $350-400ish. But this one has surpassed that easily, I think because alot of people have thrown in thier bids early. I'm thinking it will go for a little under 600. What has me the most perplexed is that this is a commission, not even a published cover. and, Yes, I am a fan of Hoffmans art, Mike
  8. less than 24 hours on my 19 OA auctions. Pleanty of watchers, no hammer pullers. eBay i.d. = mister-not-so-nice Thanks, Mike
  9. I've been keeping that one a secret. Thye have a nice Glenn Fabry I'd like to get oneday. but here is another I just "found" : www.golden-age-collectibles.com
  10. only $10.28 a page. WOW. That includes shipping, which is only $18! !
  11. No, this isn't a commentary about his site. But on his auctions: http://cgi.ebay.com/Mike-Hoffman-160-UNP...1QQcmdZViewItem For the Hoffman fans this is great! ! Considering the size of the lot, I bet the per page price is less than $20 when finished. Mike p.s. for the record, I have won one Mike Hoffman auction(so far) and it was smooth
  12. Thanks Dude. I got the whole set CGCd in one shot, but these were the only 9.8 That FLINCH #1 is awesome. I love PHIL HALE . BTW, someone had the cover to FLINCH #11 at San Diego. I didn't get a chance to ask how much it was(since I probably didn't have the funds anyhoo. But does anyone remember who was selling it and how much they wanted?

  14. My wife sold something to Barbara Leigh, the Original Vampirella, through eBay. When she found out I collect comics she sent me this.
  15. Forget where I swiped this scan (I don't own the book), But I love this cover- So when I saw this PIC I had to get it! !
  16. I've been reading this series since #1 (I get all new VERTIGO books), but I've never heard that it was ending wiht #100. When was this info put out? Like alot of the 100 Bullets fans, I haven't read a new issue since the "counterfifth detective" becuase I cna't keep track of all that is happening with a 30 day split. When it does end Iit will defintely move to the top of the "read" pile the day the last issue comes out.
