SC30 has been undervalued for many years, it's not surprising that it's starting to creep up, especially with renewed interest in both Aquaman and Mera (yes, I realize she wasn't around yet).
I agree SC30 was undervalued. #260 in high grade is a tough book. Neither will come all the way back down.

Awesome work ! You want rare moderns , go for the 9.9's ! some of those numbers are surprising. As far as percentage of books submitted to amount of 9.9/10.0 achieved, Spider-man 361 stands out, couple others as well.

Instagram has been a platform useful for selling books for quite some time. The most popular generate activity via hashtags. I've used a few of them to check things out. It's starting to get overrun by people who don't have much selling experience due to popularity, so it's still a wait and see. A lot of dealers are on there because it's a great way to move stuff.
What are the best hash tags to search for good sellers?

After reading this thread I think I have been able to piece together the factual story
Voldamort was spawned from a secret project started in Area 51 with a stated purpose of destroying democracy by shifting grading standards. This was discovered by the luminary which subsequently were able to seize control and move it under their shell company, Beckett’s where they could maintain control while trying to restore grading standards.
After reading this thread I see why this emoji was created.... And this one: and last but not least Need a brain hurts one.

I will have to say Bob is one of those dealers who has perfected that thousand yard stare where you know they have seen some messed up shiznit. I briefly talked to Bob twice at Cons and whereas Harley or Gator always seem like they are having the time of their life, Bob kind of looks pissed to be there. Grumpy would be a good adjective. But maybe it was dealing with me as Greggy and Hector always say.
I think people forget Bob is probably in pain sometimes. He is a grinder.

Yes he mentioned her and it has renewed speculator interest, but not readership. This is what I find interesting. Can you make a character popular from movies with no built in
fan base? I think its do-able, but a lot of things have to fall in place right to make that work. Her sales on her own title though are really bad. Readership hasn't taken to her just like other characters Marvel pushed on readership. Issue 29 had a print run of 13,500 copies and
the title is losing around 4-500 copies every month. If they just would have kept her on a co-star on some popular book for a year or two and then launched here it would have been
more successful. Most marvel titles are in the dumps , unless they have a gimmick. Mrs marvel sells a lot of trade paperbacks. I think she will be great. Who knows for sure.

Thanks for the recap.
Ms. Marvel is heating up because Fiege said they are working up something for the MCU.
She can carry a title, just not big Marvel numbers. I think Marvel needs to shrink down their expectations and not cancel series that don't sell 40k +. They simply have too many titles and this the writing and art suffers. Her series was pretty good and so is All-New Wolverine minus one arc.
Her books are moving right now. CM17 2nd sold 6-8 graded copies in last 24 hrs, I sold mine to early

I Still think the Inhumans will be on the big screen. I think That there was a battle between the TV and movie divisions . I think TV had thier shot and blew it. I think Feige wants the Inhumans done right. We will see. Call it a hunch

Bob,
Have international sales picked up? Do you see a wider customer base than in previous years? Are there any silver age books that you feel are undervalued? I like this thread !
-
Simple. The board member who purchased the books should be 100 percent responsible for the transaction. I would settle on a 15(%) percent restocking fee and be done with it! only fair.

Obviously there are a couple of camps on this issue. I personally would not spend 20, 30, or 40 grand or higher on a book with pieces missing At least one that is so common, I understand the argument that with out the chipping its a 8.0 or better, but it has the chipping, it should be a 5.0. The chipping In my opinion should be discounted even more. Like I and others have mentioned, it just seems like it is going to continue to chip. Its a bad defect.

So you feel that the 6.0 copy that sold on Comiconnect was not downgraded for marvel chipping? I completely disagree because if the book didn't have marvel chipping it would have graded a lot higher.
I agree that it was downgraded but do they downgrade chipping enough? I think its a major defect. I also think it makes me nervous spending a good chunk of cash and it just seems like the book can keep chipping and go down in grade even further.

In my opinion, there is currently an over reaction to Marvel chipping based largely on the discussions in this thread.
There is fear and people are afraid of buying a chipped copy because of it (or at least paying equal money to a chipped copy).
This exaggeration happens when people only think about long term investment. It's unfortunate.
I think eventually it will settle down as it doesn't make sense for a chipped 6.0 to sell for less than an unchipped 5.0 or 5.5, does it?
It makes a lot of sense. Some people don't think a book with that chipping should be a 6.0 , Buy the book not the CGC # my opinion.

I think the guy who put up this listing has the right idea. Read the fine print.
What would cause someone to waste their time pulling this stunt? What would his motivation be?
