  1. Rich Henn will be on site again this year! Rich helped me get a signed copy of Keith Pollard's original Black Cat ASM 194 cover two years ago and I know he helped a few boardies with Steranko sigs last year.
  2. Unfortunately Jim Starlin and Kyle Hotz both had to cancel, and Mean Gene Okerlund from WWF announcing fame passed away so they are down 3 guests. That said they still have an impressive lineup this year for a show of this size, and just added a few more.
  3. This is an awesome 2 day show that I highly recommend to anyone in Michigan, Ohio, or just across the pond in Canada. Fantastic buying show IMO and while there are celebrity guests and CosPlayers, this has the feel closer to an old school show where books are the focus. @catrick339 and @Nick's Comics will be setup there and possibly a few other boardies as well. I know I ran into a few guys from the community there last year. http://www.greatlakescomicconvention.com/ From the official site: THE GREAT LAKES COMIC CONVENTION! FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 2019 5PM TO 9PM AND SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 2019 10AM TO 6PM 9:30AM EARLY BIRD ADMISSION THE MACOMB COMMUNITY COLLEGE EXPO CENTER WARREN, MI
  4. Not a tax expert but I think you would need to itemize rather than taking standard deduction. But good point, if you don't itemize it really doesn't matter.
  5. You would be surprised, 90s stuff moves fairly well in dollar boxes at comic cons, especially Marvel. Dealers would pay anywhere from 20-40 bucks per long depending on what it is. Anything that isn't off-loadable I would recommend donating to a place that helps with children's literacy (and while I like helping, the type of place that also will provide a receipt for next tax season doesn't hurt either!)
  6. Correct that it is most likely from the reprints/marvel masterworks. The original stats for example would be faded (I have a few) so I would assume that the acetates would look more aged if not not faded/yellowed too. They were part of the production process though, and I agree they are cool. The trick with these versus actual original art is that proving the authenticity is tricky.
  7. Awful. Avoid at all costs. Had to finally get a refund and it was a pain. Awful customer service and borderline scammers IMO.
  8. Another A+ transaction with Dan! GREAT seller, books look great in hand, good shipping, and a pleasure to deal with. A+ all around!
  9. Sack up and buy them. How often do you see those books and how often at that price? You will regret it if you don't.....
