  1. Nothing actually changed--this was the -script that would have run for #5 even if we ended there.

Except I suppose people would have been pretty annoyed, haha.

O man, that would have been the biggest tease ever. Soooo glad it's an ongoing!

I know it's still early but do you have an idea of how long this series will go for or is it one of those "as long as you're buying" kind of deals? Also, off topic, but what are you currently reading Frank?

  2. Frank, is there any way to get an envelope if you possess a set of the SDCC limited to 50 Comics.

Found your answer a few pages back.

    Unfortunately I won't be selling/providing envelopes.

I know that might seem like a bummer, but I assure you--they are simply just plain paper envelopes with an image printed on the front (the vitruvian man/Fabian mash-up).

You could probably even make your own ;).

The comics didn't fit inside them so they seemed kind of pointless...just threw them in with the sets on day two because I had 'em.

    Sorry!

Thanks for sharing the art Frank!

  3. Great collection Court!

Just reread #7 and continued onto #8. This is still a killer series! I do have some questions but I know they'll be answered in the following issues. Unless the story turns to complete garbage I'm with this one til the end.

  4. Does anyone know if you can get one of the envelopes that Frank gave out on Sunday if your SDCC set was from Saturday? I am assuming they made envelopes for all 50 sets.

WTTB! I think the only person who would have the answer to your question would be Frank. Congrats on getting one of the sets!

  5. Good question Mr. Swick. I, like yourself, would go with the detective. Your next question is most likey why but to tell you the truth, I have no idea. Probably because you can get yourself out of tight situations. Plus there is a lot of trickery in Fabian's world so I think it would come in handy most of the time.

+ he gets to wear a sweet tweed hat!

lol Don't forget the old man pipe! When it comes to getting violent though I would go with the samurai. The panel with the sun in the background is just stunning:

  8. Just got this back last week. It's not the best of grades but with only 60 out there I'm more than happy to have this as part of my personal collection:

  9. I assure you the book will be out in a timely manner. We'll be back in October and hopefully run straight through 13 before we break for trade, and even still will only break for a month.

As long as all of our readers don't abandon us ;).

Really looking forward to our October issue! I'll share some preview stuff as the weeks go by, but I think it's a great jumping on point as well as a treat for those who've been with us all along.

GREAT NEWS CAN WE EXPECT SOMTHING FOR NY COMIC CON ?

Frank mentioned this a little while back. Found it for ya (thumbs u :

I will most certainly be looking to do cool exclusives for the shows I do in the near future.

I apologize that the set was hard to get, but I will definitely try to make a print set of the images for the future, as well as something equally rare and fun for NYCC. Hope those who got it enjoy, I think they printed really well and the cover stock was great!

  10. I read #5 this morning and (as expected) thought it was great! One thing I really like about Five Ghosts in general is how this book plays out in my brain. When I read some comics I read panel by panel but with other titles I can read it and it plays out like a movie. Almost as if the parts in between fill in and it is one continuous flow. I prefer the later and I think that is one of the reasons why I have enjoyed this series so much. IMO, the last issue in an arc (the ending) is usually the most difficult to create. Loose ends need to come together and at the same time a larger cliffhanger needs to be produced. All in all, what I am trying to say is this last issue was clutch.

This was and still is my favorite current title. Great job on the first arc Frank! :golfclap: I'm looking forward to many many more issues!

  11. I have been strange about this book. I bought and read the first two issues, and have just been buying each new issue as they come out with the thought that I'll read them in a clump at some point. Well here I am and I still have only read the first two, the others bagged and boarded just waiting for me. It seems like most people have been enjoying it if not bothered by the brutality/gore which I don't expect to be.

I need to sit down and give these a read.

    Treat yourself, don't cheat yourself.

  12. Can't wait to read it! Feels like it's been forever. I don't know how I feel about the cover though. Guess I'll have to wait until I see it in person to give a final judgement.

I've never seen this image before. I thought it looked cool so ya...

  13. "...IMHO these sets are close to priceless."

    +1

There are 4 offers currently pending. I think people realize that if they don't get a set soon they might not get another chance at one.

Anyone have a pic of the hand numbered case Frank was talking about? Not sure if I've seen that yet.

  14. Love the commission Felix! Please share some of the others when you get a chance. I can never get enough MP!

Ask and ye shall receive! In addition to the regular commissions, Nick took on a couple of sketchbooks and one sketch cover. Some pics:

    (thumbs u Thanks!

"We keep this one buried in drugs and women..." lol
