  1. Ultimate Fallout 4 could really be a major player in the future.
  2. You can make anything sound like it's true, or is a "rule" given enough context. I'll certainly agree with you that speculation can obviously drive the value of books up (and even later come crashing down), but there are too many variables, restrictions, and unpredictable factors to account for before I would even feel comfortable with trying to establish a general "rule" for others to adhere to. IMHO, "trend" is a much more appropriate, and accurate term for what you're describing. I'll agree with the essentials of your main point though.
  3. "Books never appreciate when the movies come out, but rather when the speculation starts." Is LITERALLY what you said, but it now sounds like that's not what you actually meant. HOS 92 has been increasing in value long before Wrightson's death, or the the JLD movie hype.
  4. House of Secrets 92. Been on the rise for years. I can keep going. It's not hard. You make it sound like comics didn't appreciate until they started making movies on them.
  5. Ultimate Fallout 4 is the first one that comes to mind. The movie has been out for months, yet the book is still on the rise.
  6. Nope. Such a waste. In the comics, she got her flight powers by absorbing them from Ms Marvel, another reason I kept thinking of Rogue throughout the movie.
  7. Finally got a chance to see Captain Marvel last night. I liked it, but overall thought it was just alright. Definitely feels like a step back from what we're used to from Marvel. The writing was kinda messy, the jokes fell flat half the time, and some of the music felt out of place. The entire middle section of the film is just plain boring (think season 2 of the Walking Dead ). I will say that Brie did a good job though, and all of the action scenes were pretty entertaining, too bad there weren't very many. Solid 6.0/10. Btw, seeing the Captain Marvel action sequences constantly reminded me of how Rogue SHOULD have been portayed in the X-Men films.
  8. Finally got tickets for tonight. Looking forward to seeing it, and zero expectations.
  9. Try punting him after he slices your achilles tendon.
  10. Deadpool and Logan were blips. If it wasn't for the footage that Reynolds leaked, Fox never would have made Deadpool, and Logan never would have been made if it wasn't for Deadpool's success, at least not the way they wanted it to. It took Fox that long to realize how dumb they had been about everything. The only X-Men films I consider to be good are X2, First act, DOFP, and the Wolverine, everything else was just bad. Apocalypse had one awesome scene thanks to Quicksilver, and that was about it. The writing for those X-Men movies was just all together mediocre, and I can't believe how many characters they butchered. All the ingredients, including the recipe (characters and storylines) were already right in front of them in the comics, but they deviated so badly that they repeatedly shot themselves in the foot. I'd even argue that if it wasn't for Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, the entire franchise would have gone down the toilet. As far as the Fox X-Men cartoon goes, well, that was just plain awesome, even better than the movies, but I'd put that in a different camp altogether. It was a much different time back then, and let's not forget, that show started going to , lol! And then they made the X-Men disaster cartoon: Evolution. So like i said, it's been a continuous stream of hit or miss films at best. There's a reason why most people are stoked to see this Disney/Fox deal happen!
  11. I personally think this still would have fallen under the "Fox can't make movies" category. Tatum hasn't done anything to prove that he could pull off Gambit (he doesn't even look like Gambit), let alone help write it. Sorry, but a romcom version of the Godfather? WTF?! Btw, Fox didn't just have a bad start either, it was more like a continuous streak of hit or miss superhero films (at best). Same with DC. Still can't get over how bad Justice League was, or Batman vs Superman for that matter.
  12. For years I've been told from numerous people that investing in comics is a bad idea. So glad I never listened to them.
  13. I sold my Ms Marvel 1 last Sunday in an ebay auction. Most people never cared about the character to begin with. I only thought she was somewhat interesting, because Rogue permanently absorbed all of her powers. Meh.
