  1. I know I already posted it but the Y: The Last Man page came today. YTLM Issue 15 Page 11.
  2. This page hasn't arrived yet but I am just too excited to wait to share it. When I recently read Y: The Last Man this page really stuck out to me. I had hoped that Yorick and Agent 355 would get together and this was the only real page that expressed that sentiment for me. A warm embrace between the two. I never figured I would be able to find the page. I contacted Jose Marzan, Paolo at Cadence Comic Art and posted a WTB here with very few leads. Paolo said he would ask Pia Guerra if she had the page but wouldn't know until she sent the next shipment. Paolo sent an email tonight saying the shipment had arrived but the page was not there. Luckily for me I decided to check the pages that were listed and he must have simply misunderstood or miss typed because the page was indeed there for me to buy. To me this is the perfect Y: The Last Man page. I'm on
  3. Every time you post this I think of this:
  4. Here are some Saga #2 First Prints for $19.99 with $3 shipping. Still 9 copies available.
  5. I was able to pick up Y: The Last Man Page 19 from issue 13. from Jose Marzan Jr. Not exactly the page I was wanting but a great action page I couldn't resist picking up.
  6. Does anyone know anything about the second printing of The Rocketeer Artist's Edition? I thought it was supposed to be shipping this month but the store I pre-ordered from online cancelled my order and refunded my payment without any information as to why. Was it delayed or cancelled? I'm not finding any information online or on the IDW site about it.
  7. I agree with you there. It was definitely steep. Compared to the past few copies that have showed up this one is the nicest. I didn't think it would have sold for the BIN though. If anything I thought it might sell for the $775 but figured it would end without a bid. I guess the buyer just couldn't wait for the auction to run its course. For seem reason I think this copy was listed one other time but it doesn't look like I saved the images. It looks like the buyer didn't really know much about the book seeing the question that the seller posted to the item. Here is the question: "Hi There, I've always been confused about this book. I'll probably just end up buying it but I need to know for sure. I've got the 2008 Before Bone book which reprints (Some of the strips) but not sure if it reprints ALL the strips. The book I've got has a page count of 54. but the strips only run for about 30 pages. two strips on either side of a page with a total of 64 strips all together. Could you tell me the page count of this book and the number of strips in it? I know it's a hot item and I'd hate to miss out. If it's got ALL of the strips and I've only got some in my book, I'll buy it straight away." And the seller's response: "THORN is a collection of all of Jeff Smith's comic strips from Jeff's 1982-1983 school year at The Ohio State University. Total page count is 174 pages and copyright is First Printing, September 1983. The binding on this book is completely intact and ceased slightly, no bent corners and the pages completely intact in binding and are almost entirely white-this book is a B+/A-,not near mint, but certainly wold grade very good to excellent condition with a clean cover and binding. All ages are almost entirely white-just a faint yellowing on the edges. I also have a copy of BEFORE BONE, a great compendium/summary of the history behind Jeff's creation. BEFORE BONE was printed in extremely limited quantity (500 signed and numbered copies) and one to hold on to as it was only available throughout the OSU Wexner Center's 2008 BONE AND BEYOND exhibit about 5 years ago (which also had a book & poster available at the same time and with the same exhibit title). THORN is the book to own if you are a Jeff Smith BONE fan. I am aware of 1 person who actually cut out and collected the complete collection of original newspaper strips from back then-I also own 2 of the original strips. You will probably not see this book for sale again, or at least it will be highly unlikely. I have collected for 25+ years and have seen 3 copies (one in absolutely terrible condition which sold for more than $100). I bought/own the other 2, 1 of which is this auction item." I think the buyer will be happy with the book. I know I would have been since it looks like a nice copy from the pictures. I just didn't like the price he was asking.
  8. This copy of Thorn sold for $895 by BIN.
  9. Gallery Nucleus is going to be having an Art of the Walking Dead show with pieces by John Watkiss on November 17.
  10. This amazing page by Terry Moore from his comic Rachel Rising arrived today. I loved the mood of this piece as soon as I saw it. This piece portrays the dark atmosphere of the series perfectly as well as exhibits Terry's beautiful art. Rachel Rising #11 Page 18
  11. If anyone is interested in having a sketch done now would be a good time. Jeremy posted on his twitter "Baltimore Comicon next weekend! I'll be there and I'll be sketching. I'm opening the list now cause that whole knee thing was quite pricey. Anyone who is interested in a sketch- you can email me at talpasouk@hotmail.com. I'm asking $100 a sketch." Just thought I would pass it along.
  12. I know it is not duck related but I remember reading a discussion of Don Rosa's "The Pertwillaby Papers" and "Captain Kentucky" in here so I thought I would share the indiegogo campaign that is currently underway. Don Rosa Classics They are offering hardback copies of either "The Pertwillaby Papers" or "Captain Kentucky" for $35 or $70 for the pair. Just thought a few of you might be interested in case you hadn't seen it.
  13. Thanks. The way the art was drawn on the paper led to the odd framing. I wanted to frame it at 11x14 and the way Jeff had drawn it on the sheet there was more blank space below the image then above it. I like how you describe it as "looking through a window". That is definitely what it feels like.
  14. Framed up the Walt Kelly Pogo Daily and thought it was only fitting that the Jeff Smith Bone cover be framed along side it since Walt was a big influence of Jeff.
  15. I know it's not from the correct time period but I thought I would share my Walt Kelly Pogo Daily Original from July 3, 1965 that arrived today. I had been looking for a great example for a while and I think I finally found it. July 3, 1965
  16. I had wanted a nice Walt Kelly Pogo Possum piece for a while and I think I found a great example. July 3, 1965
  17. Thanks, Cheryl. I agree. I love the intricate details. When I was commissioning the piece Jeremy told me that before CPG he was creating a story about samurais and demons. After he told me that I knew it was going to be a great piece.
  18. This commission came in the mail today from Jeremy. I requested a girl in a kimono and this delicate lined beauty is what he came up with. My first original by Jeremy and I have to say I am thrilled with the piece. He even included one of the FCBD mini bookplate prints which I put in my copy of the FCBD hardcover.
  19. Some of the artists post all of the cards they did on the Scoundrel Art Community. Here are a few that posted. There are some pretty awesome cards. Bob Stevlic Tim Shay Chris Hoffman Wu Wei Gary Kezele Chris Henderson
  20. The artist on your sketch card is Scott Rorie. Not Ronie. It might help bring in more bids with the correct artist name.
  21. one of the Your Lucky Book. Thanks for offering it.
  22. This Phoney Bone piece just sold on ebay for $1500. Not bad considering the guy purchased it in January 2010 for $280.
  23. This fantastic piece arrived today. Didn't figure I would get it but I guess with Comic Con going on everyone forgot about it except me. "This is the Place!"
