  1. Yay, Showcase 4. Too bad on the BB28. This is one of my top 3 favorite books and I am bummed the prices went up so quickly on the mid-grades with so few sales to show for it.
  2. This is my favorite Deadpool moment! I love my Deadpool references geeky oriented.
  3. on not winning this... congrats though, excellent copy!
  4. I guess it's a bigger possibility than not...but that said: not everyone believes in pressing so there may be a few folks that don't opt to do so. What, like people don't believe in Santa Clause, Jack Frost or "the Queen of England?" Some folks hate on pressing and think it's restoration...which technically it does restore the comic to a better condition...so I guess they're not wrong. However, restoration has a bad connotation because of the non-universal status it leaves the comic in. Pressing has always dodged the bullet with that however and the CGC doesn't view it (when done properly) as official restoration like leaf casting, wet-cleaning, etc. And FTR: I believe in Santa Claus. I guess that sale could have been even better in terms of $, but that said it is now visible and can be used as a benchmark for future sales. Yeah, pressing is funny. In my opinion it really is an unfortunate trend overall. It has wreaked havoc on the census the past few years with a number of people losing big money as big books have gotten quickly upgraded. And it sure does add to the silliness on the Bay. CGC would probably classify it as restoration if they could 100% prove that it happened. FYI - I too believe in the magic of Christmas. It just isn't fun without the fat man in a red suit!

  6. Shouldn't one assume that any key book stabbed in the last 6-12 months has been pressed? Especially "hot" books?
  7. flawless transaction, quick payment and solid communication! A+ happy to do business again, thanks!
  8. What is graded at right now? Those pages are premium!
  9. Sent a question about the item (doubt he will respond, I was not nice) and reported it. I wonder how many boardies it takes before eBay will take action...
  10. So do you have a like a stack in your closet that you are grading one by one and selling on eBay? I know a guy who has over 200 copies and he gets 5-10 graded at a time (all come back 9.2 or better) and sells them like candy on eBay. Every copy has netted him a minimum of $50 profit (up to a couple hundred). Great for him I suppose.
  11. Sell now, buy early Flash books (Showcase 4 and Flash 105). Thank me when completed. I think you have a flash bias though don't you? Buy marvel. I do, shameless Flash plug!!! In all fairness, I collect the boring stuff too (Marvel SA keys).
  12. Patience, all in good time, this too will come to be grasshopper
  13. Sell now, buy early Flash books (Showcase 4 and Flash 105). Thank me when completed.
  14. Anybody selling low grade copies due to movie speculation yet? FYI - this book deserves it's own over-thought, frequently discussed and generally aggravating future pricing speculation discussion!
  15. +1 I have seen a number of knock-out 1.5-2.5 range key books that present very well but get killed in grade due to spine splits and detached covers. Personally, to me if you are buying a slab, I would rather have a top-knotch cover that is detached or has a large split (NO TAPE) than one with missing pieces or significant staining. IMO
  16. +1 There are a TON for sale in high grade - Cons, shops, online, etc. Many who want GPA high prices...
  17. I wonder how long before I get a zombie attack at my front door... FYI - I was at SDCC and the WD 1 books weren't moving, but there was a steady stream of fans getting their pictures taken in the prison setup. I hate to say it, but WD attractions always show up to play.
  18. Karl Popper is the man! His philosophical approach and detailed perspective across multiple practices (science, religion, politics, etc.) is astounding! His "paradox of tolerance" is extraordinarily insightful. Solid add!
  19. Thank you for the feedback and I can understand why you wouldn't want to continue at that point. It was meant to get you to respond to my original concern that your comment could be read perhaps in a way that you did not intend. To be fair, I did not make an inflammatory statement until after you reacted very strongly in the first place with CAPS and all. In any case, we don't need to carry on any further. I hear you. Caps, really? Can I see this quote? I never responded to you in caps... Ok, not all caps. My bad, only a few words in caps. However, you appear quite agitated at this point. See below. Yes, that is all caps, right? It is your bad. If this is the worse response you ever received after calling someone a 'conspiracy theorist' versus an 'experienced dealer' I would think you should be thanking me. Yes, my bad. I am sorry. I didn't call you either of those. I insinuated the statement read like that and then stated that I didn't know you. Not a large difference, but a difference all the same.
  20. FYI - in my defense I did learn a few things in the mentioned thread and admitted it.
