  1. I got my 15 copies the first time Authority mentioned it a couple of years back. They were a buck twenty five on Amazon and there were PLENTY of copies at that price. I don't know if I wanna take them outta the bag though even though they look to be color-break-tick-free. So... Thanks for the early spec mention Authority!
  2. Yup, 1st appearance. There was a poster/ad of Tank Girl in Atomtan Magazine, but the first story of tank girl is Deadline #1
  3. Just a matter of time before this hits eBay.. Juuuuust wait for it http://www.comicbookresources.com/article/report-miles-morales-will-be-the-star-of-sonys-animated-spider-man-film http://io9.gizmodo.com/report-the-new-animated-spider-man-movie-will-star-mil-1779201902 http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/05/27/animated-spider-man-rumored-to-focus-on-miles-morales http://io9.gizmodo.com/report-the-new-animated-spider-man-movie-will-star-mil-1779201902 http://www.slashfilm.com/miles-morales-spider-man-animated-movie/ http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Miles-Morales-Spider-Man-Reboot-Director-Just-Said-86687.html
  4. Yup.. If Killing Joke saw a huge bump because of the animated feature, and mind you, KJ is a book with a much longer history, than UF should def see an increase. I just dont think many people are aware of this announcement yet.....
  5. Micronauts to play a major role in the HCU CEO Brian Goldner stated that Hasbro has entered the next phase of their Brand Blueprint. The company aims to grow with Entertainment-centric storytelling for their brands. He also mentioned that while their own brand related revenue was just 17% during the early 2000s it has grown to 52% today. At the moment Nerf is the biggest revenue maker. It came as a surprise since when it comes to toy related revenues, Nerf has dethroned Transformers. Hasbro will also be carrying out a Cinematic Universe. Micronauts will play a major role in the future. New IPs will be there. Lots of new brand names will enter the market in near future. Hasbro-owned Mobile Game Developer Backflip Studios will deliver new mobile games including Transformers (Earth Wars) and My Little Pony this year while delivering the sequel to their own hit game Dragonvale. Hasbro will continue with Transformers by integrating “360 Degrees Ways To Play” which means it won’t be just toys. Entertainment and Mobile Devices will play a major role. A new Hasbro team called “Integrated Play Team” (a.k.a iPlay Team) handles the integration. Mr. Goldner stated that Transformers Franchise going through a transition period. Also to note is that “Frustration-Free Packaging” will be introduced for toys for Online Retailers. Hasbro stated that they will be tapping into the opportunities of Online Retailing. Brian stated that the Fan Community is now a significant factor in revenue. Over 20% Hasbro Products are purchased by or for people who are 16 years or older. There will be Fan Specific Products in the future. Hasbro stated that while Transformers Video Games are action/adventure oriented, they will not be integrating violence into their video games (probably talking about M-For Mature rated games). Activision was mentioned as the publisher of Transformers Video Games. Oddly in past-tense stating “historically produced by Activision” (meaning a new publisher?). Finally, Transformers 5 (Transformers: The Last Knight) will continue the story of the previous Transformers Live Action Movies while the next movie on 2018 will focus on Bumblebee. This statement further confirms the fact that the Transformers: The Bumblebee Movie may not be a continuation of the current series but rather a spin-off/standalone movie as previously stated when the movie was first announced. The first Hasbro Cinematic Universe movie featuring G. I. Joe, Micronauts, ROM, Visionaries and M.A.S.K will be out 2018/2019. Well that’s all, folks! We’ll see you again on another event coverage soon.
  6. Ive been looking everywhere for this. Sorry, I gave up
  7. So that' you, huh? No wonder you have hair in your avatar . . .
  8. Abebooks and Amazon prices are up there on it as well http://www.abebooks.com/book-search/isbn/9781578401901/ http://www.amazon.com/Narrative-Frederick-Douglass-Classics-Illustrated/dp/1578401909/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1464464589&sr=8-1&keywords=Narrative+of+the+Life+of+Frederick+Douglass+acclaim
  9. Acclaim Comics had the licenses to re-tell the Classics Illustrated stories (and add more titles, if they liked). Acclaim went bankrupt... so the final books that Acclaim printed just before bankruptcy were cancelled a few times then re-solicited, etc. From the regular comics line, those final books were Shadowman Volume 3 #6, Armorines Volume 2 #4, and Unity 2000 #3. From the Classics Illustrated line, the final book was Frederick Douglass. Very low print, possibly under 2,000 copies. It has been said that unsold stacks of Classics Illustrated "went missing" from the Acclaim offices during the bankruptcy. The inventory sheets don't match what was found in stock, so someone decided they would just take a few (tens of thousands). At any rate, the Acclaim Classics Illustrated books are all pretty low print, all were extremely unpopular as collectibles , but if you want to watch bargain bins, the Frederick Douglass book is the one to find. Wealth of knowledge has arrived
  10. Sorry.. Didnt know where to put this: What the hell happened here??
  11. http://www.ebay.com/itm/SUPER-REAL-vs-The-Movie-Industry-issue-1-variant-NM-1st-Dan-Mendoza-ZOMBIE-TRAMP-/222106525013?hash=item33b6949d55:g:xcYAAOSwqrtWpSWD Excuse me "fastballspecial". Why did you send me an eBay link to a book I already have and am not looking for? Did you bother to read my post before replying?? The book I mentioned that I have never physically seen is some sort of "virgin" cover with no price or title. Maybe some type of ashcan? Well thanks for replying. I only ask that the read my comment first. Sooooooo anyway... Anybody with any info on the actual book I'm speaking of?
  12. Why should I. The guy can't even pronounce my name right
  13. Time to jack up the prices on UF#4 again folks http://heroichollywood.com/miles-morales-2018-animated-spider-man-film/
  14. I once met this blonde at my bar who was married to a cop...
  15. I was thinking about this book when I won this yesterday http://www.ebay.com/itm/272237235500?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Its the Australian edition of Yellow Claw 1 that I believe came out around the same time as the original. Cant wait to receive it!
  16. Thats what I thought also, if anything the self published one should be a book to own IF youre a fan of the title. But to speculate on this book thinking its Albedo 0 is just cray IMO
  17. Not really. 95% of the value is in the unique sigs. The book itself has little to do with it. I get that the grade and the sig (and the notes) are the big bucks here. But that still doesnt change the fact that they chose that particular book to market a product. Point is, if you sell this book by itself, youre missing on a whole lotta potential buyers who are looking for it with: the flyer, the poster, the countless tie ins (marvel saga 22, marvel age 54, What if 21 & 22 etc etc), Shae Stadium wedding bag+invite, sigs sigs sigsssssss
  18. Not too sure if this qualifies. Its not a variant but there were 2 editions. One limited to 250 (easier to find) and this one to 100:
  19. Off wikipedia: Watchmen was first mentioned publicly in the 1985 Amazing Heroes Preview. When Moore and Gibbons turned in the first issue of their series to DC, Gibbons recalled, "What really clinched it ... was [writer/artist] Howard Chaykin, who doesn't give praise lightly, and who came up and said, 'Dave what you've done on Watchmen is in' A.'" Speaking in 1986, Moore said, "DC backed us all the way ... and have been really supportive about even the most graphic excesses."
  20. Now who would DARE say that DC Spotlight's 1 cover is better than this one??
  21. Thats it, Im sending my copies to get graded next week
  22. Articles are quoting the wrong issue number. Yup, think youre right.. I think its the 85 preview right?
