You nailed it. I mentioned this in a thread I started a few months ago. The movie/TV hype speculation started with Walking Dead. Up until then optioned books wouldnt trend on eBay.. At least not on the same level they do today. I can guarantee you that if and when MIB 4 comes out, youll see a spike in increased sales and demand for the original Aircel title. Thats not because the movie will be a hit or because of speculation, thats just because its hyped in the post WD speculation era we live in

A shame Bill Mantlo couldn`t write these because IDW has brought back Larry Hama and Simon Furman to do long runs. Wouldnt be surprised if there are talks about Rom vs MLP crossovers already at the IDW HQs

Hope IDW handles this property well, but I wouldnt be too hopeful.. They relaunched so many classic titles with more mileage than Rom and consistently screwed them up.. Even their TMNT & GI Joe's have dog selling stats

Between you me and the wall.. I think submitting 100 similar books to any grading company at one time is not too wise an idea.. I doubt he would get 10 9.8's backs... And thats wishful thinking Just my 2 cents

This. Are the two of you sure about this? I remember the Star Wars comic book did not catch on until issue #3 was out or around the time the movie debuted. I remember Star Wars #1 were already going for $10 or more at the time. If there was any hoarding done, it was probably not done by the collectors of the day. Sure, there were more copies available in the marketplace afterwards, but these were most likely from unsold initial returns sitting in the distributor's warehouses which were now being actively hunted down. This was probably one of the first "off the shelf" books to go up in price like that so quickly and was most likely one of the first books to start the subsequent hoarding that would become commonplace with Modern books. Anybody remember Dazzler #1, now that was a really hoarded book. Dazzler #1 you say???

Uh oh robbirodriguez I've seen a lot of great takes on the Gwen design but this is far from one of them. ladyautumnofasgard This isn't a Gwen cosplay, it's a piece inspired by Gwen for a couture fashion show. Someone put a lot of love and effort into this to pay tribute to Gwen, and they will see your comment and probably feel awful. i like you but this is uncalled for and I'm sad to see it.

There is no 'variant' which is why this isn't getting any attention. All the 6th printings have a double cover. Also, every one of the 1st issue reprints have had over 10,000 copies.
