  1. Yes, reverse movie / comic book: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062622/ Funny. Mister Machine / Machine Man / X-51 was a Kirby creation for the comic I totally see this getting hot! Well overdue. Classic Kirby book and not too many copies around!
  2. I dont care where you're from or what you think, but if you watch this one scene and it doesnt move you, you simply have no pulse
  3. Last time someone tried to do a sequel/sidequel to blade runner THIS is what we got. Blade Runner is my all time favorite movie after Inception. Let it be.. It needs no sequel!
  4. I dont' think the Marvel Milestone copies of Action 1 sell very well at all. In fact, I don't think anyone has ever sold one. I meant the AF #15, ASM #1, X-Men #1, etc.... well I'm pretty sure the Action #1 reprint hype is fueled by the EBAY sale of the Action 1 CGC 9.0 being sold on ebay. Due to the rarity and high value realized by THAT sale vs the relative commonness of the Marvel keys, it doesn't seem likely that Marvel Milestones and other Marvel reprints will have similar spikes in value. Do you think that there are some bidders (on the reprints) who actually don't know the difference? Perhaps, but there are many that are clearly marked "reprint" in the header that are still going for plenty. I think it's a mistake to list them now. The spike is likely due to the sale of the real thing, and that auction is over. Another one will come up for sale at some point (not a 9.0, sure, but another copy). Get them slabbed now if they're slab-worthy so you're ready when the next real deal gets auctioned. So basically Superman is hotter than Deadpool now

  6. How can I tell? There's nothing on the cover or indicia indicating a later printing. Copyright dates? Peace, Chip Lots of info on most "popular" comix I used to sell comix in the past but you'd find that even the rare stuff is hard to flip on eBay.. So couple that with the tedious work of identifying which print is which and I ended up just not dealing with them. Just me
  7. I'd grab those if they are in good shape I grabbed 5 of each, I may go back there today to get the rest.. Question is.. Is this a book to hold on to for awhile or flip right away
  8. Still plenty of 1st prints around stores. I was shocked to see more than 10 1st prints of 8 & 9..
  9. Whoa, whoa, whoa, ha. IMDB is like Wikipedia for the most part. A lot of people can edit the information on it. It also says "announced", which to my knowledge it has not been anywhere. yup... kinda like this character
  10. No, this book has been selling in the $30-50 range for a quite some time. I've sold a couple last year for $40+ Kind of crazy actually. I remember about 8-10 years ago I helped a dealer set-up at one of the NYC cons and the promoters had stacks of these on the swag table to be given away. I took a pile, and still there were stacks remaining... Ive sold countless of 88, nestle & safeguard reprints of AC1 for at least $20 a pop, got 70+ at least on a couple occasions. Reprints of Action, AF15 etc will always flip quick, which is exactly the reason why I stocked up on at least 20 copies of tec27 75th anniversary editions.. They're going for pennies now, but in a few years from now they will be an easy 10-15$ flip if not more
  11. If MOKF was to do as good as The Jackie Chan Adventures I'd say.. No
  12. ish keeps getting realer ...While only less than a month ago.. ... And sometimes spam title hype words come to reality
  13. Some are tougher than others; there's 4 TPBS: "Mario's Special Powers" is one of them, that are the rarest ones out there. The no price variant of this is a pretty tough book too. Almost impossible to find in NM
  14. You wanna get me started again yeah I got one up for 23....and it doesn't even have a watcher on it...( just put it up yesterday though ). so I think someone is gonna be mighty disappointed... If youre selling a copy now I'd only advise you to never ever get into stocks
  15. So.. Not that I care much, but because it's been quite here for awhile, how many death of wolverine variants are there? like.. a thousand?
  16. Well not so fast.. If this will be just like GOTG (which it most likely will) than you can bet that FF #45 will be the one to get... But not because of BB.. But because of Lockjaw
  17. Looks like GOTG had a big impact on how the market is speculating on a marvel property; It seems like everyone is buying ANYTHING Inhumans.. Silver Age, Bronze & Modern Inhumans books report crazy numbers http://www.ebay.com/itm/Inhumans-1-1st-print-1st-issue-1975-Marvel-/261560029591?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item3ce6315197 http://www.ebay.com/itm/INHUMANS-MARVEL-KNIGHTS-FULL-SET-NM-MARVEL-COMICS-/291212051688?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item43cd9744e8
  18. Just trying to get this thread back on track...Poe was complaining
  19. One last thing.. Generally speaking- Fans are the reason why creators charge money for autographs. I've been to many signings where they were free and it never fails to amaze me how "fans" will come with 20-30 comics, ask for sketches, pictures and would not even tip the creators for their generosity nor buy any books offered at the venue. I can see how a creator that's getting into the biz will be very enthusiastic about doing signing and then slowly but surely get less and less motivated to do them for free. I always pay for my signing, it's not necessarily much, but it makes me feel better. So should you. Rant over
  20. Silver sharpie?? You come back - ONE WEEK!
  21. True story.. First time I met Jim Starlin I handed him my Batman 426 to sign and he wouldnt touch it because it had a Mike Mignola autograph which was signed with a silver sharpie. Apparently Jim's allergic to silver sharpies. Im not making this up. If you want Jim to sign a book for you DO NOT have him do it with a silver sharpie
