  1. Notice that even though the bag seam is on the back of the book, that dreaded line will appear on the front, such as in the example below
  2. Mine all have a straight color breaking line across the front cover. If you look at most listings online, even those that claim NM copies, you will see that line
  3. If I had a few x-forces which were 9.8 worthy right now I'd sub em. It's more of a matter of being lazy now than anything. I wanted to do this 6 months ago but just thought by now we'll be swamped with 9.8s because of previous passionate debates about this topic. Knowing what I know today I think it's time for me to dig the old boxes out
  4. Thats why we see people here suggests that its never wise to relate to print run or 1:x ratios when it comes to any book. Its always demand and whats currently available. Any idjut can speculate on the availability of X-Force 1 and assume it has no value. Yet the current status quo suggests otherwise. My assumption is that there are probably alot more pre-screen rejects for this book than census numbers show. A WHOLE lot Just going by what I PERSONALLY have seen in my inventory, and what the previous facebook example I attached demonstrates, and what the census reflects, a 9.8 is not a common find Will this change? Lets wait and see But oh just remember, thats what people said a year ago
  5. Why would anyone pay $5000 for Marvel Age 41 signed by stan??? Why would anyone pay 400 for a Web Of Spider-Man 36??? Why would anyone pay 450 for a spawn 1 newsstand??? why would anyone even chase plentiful newsstand editions??? Im sure that if you had all afternoon today you could come with a counter argument for any of these. I just simply pointed out THE FACTS as we know them today: X-Force 1 9.8 has been known to be a rare book for over 2 years. This is not news The census ratio for 9.8 hasnt changed despite this being a known issue Recent sales reported by a boardie and noted on ebay show this was a quick flip at 200 (ebay shows this was sold within less than 2 hours of listing) Do you think no one cares to sub drek? guess again, there are over 3,000 X-Men 1 (91) on the census with over half of those being 9.8. That HAS to be the ultimate drek book out there yet look at those numbers. Why should anyone argue with this if they think they have hundreds of 9.8 copies in their long boxes, here's my advice to you: GO MAKE THAT MONEY
  6. 1 out of 13 (579/43) if u consider the massive amount of xforce/liefeld fans out there you're looking at a lot of money for that ratio
  7. Notice that the sig 9.8 bracket hasnt changed at all in the past 6 months. Which leads me to believe (if I was to assume anything) that most universal submissions were indeed pre-screened at 9.8 (since that number actually did grow by 8)
  8. How would you know that all books submitted were by newbs? What if there were hundreds of 9.8 pre-screen reject subs added to those census numbers?
  9. As I pointed earlier - this has been discussed THOROUGHLY on social media and spec sites (cough cough cbsi). This is a well known issue. There is awareness The amount of books submitted in just the 6 months period prove that that 9.8 ratio has NOT changed The recent 2 sales provided by a baordie prove that this IS sought after What more proof do you need about this spec?
  10. Census data shows that about 6-7 percent are 9.8. Thats a pretty low number. Why are they suckers for paying 200?
  11. Why should I speculate about the future when that speculative mind set is already proven to be wrong considering the recent 2 sales of 200.00?
  12. Here are screenshots of the census from today vs May this year More books were subd yet no real change with 9.8 And thats not factoring in pre-screen amounts
  13. X-force 1 having a defect and not scoring 9.8 often is old old news. The last time I heard about this was 2 years on fb. Then earlier this year on some speculator site. The response of people challenging the notion that 9.8 could fetch big bucks was ALWAYS that there are millions of copies out there. Yet time has passed and the census hasn't changed
  14. All of my copies have a color breaking crease down the book. I counted 5 with that damn crease. No press is gonna help that But thats just from the ones I saw at home, I prolly have 20-30 more in storage if not more
  15. WTTB Now pls go over here and report the buyer so we can avoid him/her like the plague:
  16. W my luck by the time I submit my copies there will be a TREMENDOUS flood of 9.8 on the bay. I think I'll sit this out
  17. How dare you attack Rick & Morty!! we should only talk good things about that market because otherwise mods will be notified!
  18. Wow, never thought about it this way (RE conan), maybe a very graphic rendition ala 300 or American Gods
  19. Just when u thought the man signed every book on the planet and there's too much Stan collectibles going around..... BAM!
