  1. welcome to Gold! i got mostly every gold book in my collection by trading newer stuff for it, so any trade of bronze for gold is good in my book.
  2. I'm sure I still have a lot of Robert Bell's catalogs around. Although I didn't read my first comic until early 1975, and didn't realize there was a back issue market until about six months after that, so they'd all be late 1975 and later.
  3. They don't come any cooler than that, Jim!
  4. Great one! You could also post it in the "have a cigar" new golden age purchases thread stickied at the top of the page. And if there are 10 or less copies certified in the CGC census you could post it in my thread of that name.
  5. too bad. i enjoyed keeping up with my saved search. even though, in the current market, finding anything to buy has been non-existent for months. all done now, unless it starts to work again.
  6. i've had all of them many times over the years. currently just this one.
  7. Imagine your surprise when you wanted to add GA to your collection, bought every single comic published in December, 1956, then learned that isn't the GA!
  8. I never considered mine to be an 8.5, but (to me) it's better than this copy.
  9. $359 seemed to be a thick and meaty result to me. Wonder if there was an "auction estimate" range posted in the listing (not sure if CC ever does that).
  10. are we thinking this was a strong result ($312/$358.8)?
  11. if it was really lost they'd have never found the comics.
  12. mail call! Pioneer Picture Stories #5, Street and Smith, #WWII cover.
