  1. here's a group shot of some superior comics i picked up fairly recently. (my first post to this thread)
  2. i posted something yesterday in the key golden age thread i started! (albeit not a centaur) i'll try to post another book soon.
  3. as i said earlier, it was seeing a color picture of this cover in an OPG in 1976 (or 1977) that first sparked my interest in centaurs.
  4. everyone loves vol. 2 #5 (can't blame them!) but only sacentaur and i love vol. 2 #7 as well?
  5. i think this copy has my copy of v2 #5 beat in almost every way except for the cover art (this has an amazing cover, but it isn't that everett cover).
  6. Well, I don't think you "kicked it up a notch." No, I think you kicked it out of the stadium! let's see if i can kick it out of the city limits with the next one...
  7. They will take some topping wont they? Maybe we'll just need to have a run off between them in December! it's an honor. let's do it!
  8. i absolutely agree with all you guys. which is why i'm going to kick it up a notch (in cover art, and condition - neither of which is easy to do)!
  9. Looking forward to it. You have posted some great books (thumbs u why thank you very much. that amf v2 #10 is beautiful! continuing with your theme:
  10. gator, based on what you're saying, this would be the time (if i were loaded) to be scooping them up. that's a book i'd be willing to speculate on over the long haul.
  11. but, in my personal opinion, all american 16 easily bests pep 22 and action 7 (and probably tec 31) regarding overall superhero key issue coolness factor. dollar value aside of course. archie can be as hot as he wants, and money trends change over time, but AA 16 will always be a top 7 or 8 killer book to this old time collector
  12. not even close here's one of my favorite issues of amazing man:
  13. beautiful copy. never seen this issue in person!
  14. thanks for all your input. i started a new thread. go post! i'd like to see 1000 pages by the end of the week!
  15. is this thread exclusively for recent acquisitions (2904 pages later), or is it appropriate to post assorted keys, cool covers, etc. that i've had for a while? if there's a "post your assorted keys, cool covers, etc." thread, i haven't seen it yet, so please point me to it if it exists!
  16. hey everyone. i've been posting over in the centaur thread and i noticed this pulp thread. i'm not actually a pulp collector, but i have recently started trying to put together a run of all the weird tales with conan stories. i'll post pictures of the ones i already have, and any new ones as i pick them up. January, 1934. Rogues In The House. Brundage "Hooded Menace" cover.
  17. thanks everyone. it's one of my favorite centaur covers as well.
  18. i was going to say that i've seen (and owned) more vol. 4 #1's (gerber 8) than this issue (gerber 7), but after seeing the last few pages of this thread i'm just joining the (very distinguished?) crowd
  19. that looks far better than a 3.5 G.A.tor!
