  1. great book, alanna!

i'm leaving for st. pete for a steven wilson (of porcupine tree) concert.

(if you are a rock music fan and do not know about porcupine tree, for shame!)

i'll be back some time tomorrow and will post another centaur :)

  2. next up is funny pages vol 3 number 1. mcwilliams art, gustavson art, schwab cover, and of course the bob kane bruce wayne prototype story "the case of the missing heir," makes this issue a favorite of mine.

  3. thanks. i see that there have only been three graded by CGC, with a 7.0 being the highest. only one (complete) copy has ever been offered by heritage, and it was that cgc 7.0 copy.

i have no idea what condition the pedigree copies are, but i'm very happy to have a copy in well better than 7.0. it seems like it hardly pops up in any grade.

  4. awesome books!

as tempted as I am to join the trend and jump to the great amazing mystery funnies series, I will resist and continue with my copy of funny pages vol. 2 #11. the second appearance of the arrow, plenty of gustavson art, and even some bill everett illustrations on the text story:

  5. BTW Its just great to see your books, raw, out of the bag, yummy sweet

+1. Will you be cracking out that AMF you just won? :baiting:

thanks everyone. and bunky, post whatever AMF silver surfer is referring to (if you haven't already)!

Well, I think they may be refering to a this new acquisition, but with great pause, and no intent to derail your current posting, you are after all the "new super star on the Centaur block". I for one am so very happy to see a long time seasoned collector with high grade stunning books, that save for the CGC boards we would never have the chance to see, Circumstances, I hand the Centaur thread back to you, please take center stage again, BB

    fantastic! i love that issue.

  6. wow. i'm deliberately only posting a book every day or two to avoid being accused of carpet-bombing the forum! :headbang:

Even one newly revealed Centaur per week would qualify as carpet-bombing! lol Bomb away, man! (thumbs u

well alright then, if you insist! without further ado, we continue with my copy of the first centaur issue of funny pages, Vol. 2 #6 from March, 1938. Nice Bob Wood girl art cover, and another one that i've seen less than a half dozen times.
