Did you try the Comicbookplus scan? That could be old I suppose but i did want to comment as this book is so darn cool. Those Young Defenders seem to be doing more damage than our heroes I mean look at that girl with the red bow tie about to axe somebody and that’s right after he’s about to take what I assume is a blowdart to the jugular!! 🤯 Classic Schomburg!

Also to add to this discussion if the story were affected the book would get a 0.5. Most incomplete books go straight to the 0.5 grade. Missing pieces, back cover etc. However if the piece missing is small enough and doesn’t affect the story it can still receive a 1.0 and maintain a universal blue label.

Love that Our Flag cover. He leaves a Red White and Blue trail behind. So cool. The Man of War is a neat one too. I just saw there is a variant cover. Well I'll be. 

If my memory serves I had reached out to a gentleman at comicbookplus to try and assist filling in a few of their gaps with some really tough books which by the way if anyone doesn’t visit the site it is amazing!! Nearly all of these characters can be found there. Anything in the public domain. The site is invaluable. I think that is when he put me in touch with Craig who told me he was putting out this book and we had discussions about who the cover character would be etc. 
 

I can’t recommend enough visiting comicbookplus if you haven’t. Any Harvey, Centaur, Ace, MLJ, Fox etc etc can all be found there to peruse through.

Hello, I have a copy of Lightning Comics v2 #2. I have had it for many years now I believe i did get reholdered at one point into a new clearer case. Anyways someone reached out wanting to know if I would sell it and i went to pull up the census and it wasn’t showing a 2.0 on the blue labels so I went and typed in the serial # and it states the book is not found. What is also strange is that it is showing on Heritage auctions census report. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks, Gino
