Anybody ever see one of these? Pretty sure it was only offered in the two US Jones comics. Might have been offered in Wonderworld as well but not in any of the few I have. This is one of my top wants. Other than just a couple other GA comic book premiums I know of and need. This is the one left I want the most. Came in a kit with a membership card, a decoder card and two letters. I'm "Jonesing" for one of these badI

I’ve seen it only via the inside front cover very cool to see it in color!! If i ever see one I will pass along to you!! It cool to see the ad says join thousands of other cadets!! Only cost 10 cents. Makes you wonder if truly thousands of these were ever released and if so how many survived!!

Think it will cross 10k, but we'll see.

Gino do you think it's rarer than Wonderworld #31 or about the same? War angle certainly gives it a higher profile than WW31 so more 'desireable'?

To answer that question is tough…if we go by STRICTLY census then indeed Wonderworld #31 would best US Jones #2 in terms of rarity but it’s neck and neck. USJ2 has 5 total copies 4 Blue and 1 restored. Wonderworld 31 has only 4 total graded copies all Blue. A fellow boardie and I own 2 of the 4. What is interesting is aside from the Mile High which is a gorgeous 9.0 the second highest graded is a 2.5 🤯 then my 2.0. Both are crazy rare yes

Well, if you include the Heritage BP juice which is always included in the final price, it was already sitting at $10,200 as of yesterday.  :gossip:

Guess I'll break this one out again. Only a mere 4 in total on the CGC census, this being the second highest graded, only a 6.5 copy graded higher and I believe it's owned by our much missed around here on a regular basis Boardie @Sqeggs

This is the Billy Wright copy with an added distinction of being one of a handful of books from the pedigree that's easily identifiable because he wrote his name on it :cloud9:

Yep, Alex drew the covers of #3 & 4 before Jack Kirby returned on 5.

Number 5 is one of the most Kirby-esque covers of the first ten style-wise, and that roulette wheel of death is quite memorable... (thumbsu

the wheel of death clearly draws attention from the eye!! Sheesh looks that Clown with the oversized Hatchet right below it though!! That’s nightmare fuel right there!!

I’ve wanted a Pep 18 for many of moons it’s one of my favorite MLJs!! Congrats on that feat!! I always figured It would go nice next to my Mystery Men #29 which came out only 4 short months after the Pep!! While not a cover swipe there are some definite similarities 😉🙌

I think the more relevant point in all this is, if you want to make gains buy blue chip stuff in any grade.

If we were to compare results on non-key books the gains on 9.8 vs 4.0 for non-key ASMs in the 60s and 70s, your comps are going to be completely different.  That's where the "only buy HG" mantra holds.

But to generalize sales of blue chip keys to non keys is silly.

Absolutely 100% this only applies to keys and classic covers etc. This does not apply in general to run filler books at least I haven’t looked at those nearly although i do still buy them to READ!! Many times in higher grade too as I can actually afford them. 🤗🥰 I just bought some nice higher grade All Star Squadron stuff (Not GA) but very cool books to me at least and very affordable stuff.
