? Crazy right who would have thunk it?!! Bill was asked a few years ago on I think the Dan Patrick show who he would take in their prime MJ or Lebron and Laimbeer stated no doubt Lebron so apparently the Bad Boy is a James fan!! I think of all the current NBA stars Lebron with his size and strength is one of the only guys that could have survived and done well in other generations of basketball as well as we can all agree it was a different game even from when i was a kid in the 80s -

Speaking of Laimbeer and his reputation for physical play when i was young we had a video game called Bill Laimbeer's Combat Basketball. It was futuristic and you could literally blow people up on the court. The game took place in the year 2030. Bill Laimbeer had become commissioner of a basketball league, fired the referees and created a style of play without rules and shoving was encouraged. There were no fouls and the use of weapons was perfectly legal. It was actually pretty fun at the time haha!! -

!! Even if I wasn't a Cavs fan I would be rooting for them!! The Warriors poor sportsmanship from multiple players is disgusting for the game. Just stop talking and start playing. I respect players like Durant, Curry, Thompson, and Livingston but guys like Zaza and David West are kind of dirty players and don't even get me started with Draymond he might as well be a hired thug as far as I am concerned. He is a great player too at times which makes it sad as he just can't stop the nonsense and get it together. I will say this I remember the 90s Bulls very well and of all the teams I have watched in my lifetime This Golden State team may be the most formidable. They have truly redefined the 3 point line. It literally took the Cavs setting a record to defeat them. As far as the NBA is concerned it's nice to see both Golden State and Cleveland finally be successful franchises. I still think my Cavs have like a 0.5% to win this series ? but trust if they can pull off a miracle and win Monday that percentage goes up significantly!! Good luck gentleman this has been fun albeit frustrating at times but mostly fun for sure!! -
A Centaur a day...Funny Picture Stories 2/5 upgrade
gino2paulus2 replied to G.A.tor's topic in Golden Age Comic Books
Great copy Rick!! I agree with BP the #2s background looks like it was colored by a 5 yr old with crayons for sure. The interior is better though especially the first half splash and how could we leave out the unforgettably important app of the The Ferrett!!! -
VERY COOL!!!!

2 very cool issues here GAtor. I see they changed the drawing of the Liberty Bell itself for issue #3. Neat stuff -
Probably my favorite Planet cover and what a copy!!?

I would call that a SUPER-steal!!!

I think we should Sticky this thread!! The others would get bumped respectively but as we added to this at least we wouldn't lose any of the threads. Just my humble opinion. As long as we keep the links in Claudio's first post because if we have to start digging through this one to find others it kind of defeats the purpose.

Understandable it was something brought up in another thread and i migrated it over here so my bad. I have just seen SO many folks that are against displaying books and whenever someone posts a cool display inevitably someone will follow up with, "what about the light? what about the light? what about the light? you need to bury your books in the ground and aerate the lawn in order to let them breathe!!" ? Ok may be exaggerating a bit there i was just defending all of us comicbook room folks out there who display books so we can finally put this argument to bed once and for all

did you read the post or just look at the pic
-
I would imagine you are being sarcastic but just in case you aren't that is the point. It's just as dark in there 99% of the time so what's the difference if the books are stored in a box buried 10 feet below the surface of the Earths crust or displayed in a dark climate controlled room with the lights only turned on occasionally when I stop in there to admire them?!! Most folks in this thread will agree as it's a comicroom thread but i have heard this debate about displaying books so many times since I joined the boards and I just had the sudden urge to post this relatively silly pic ?

Are the Fox's gone Sha?!!!! -
Well there was sort of a debate going on over in the, "how to display your high dollar books" thread and since this is one of my favorite threads and seeing as I have advocated displaying books and sharing pics of my comic room in the past I wanted to share this pic as well. Just taken today with my iphone. This is a picture of my, "ComicSlabWall" where 36 slabs currently sit. This is what the room looks like when I am not in there. REAL PHOTO!!
