How Planet 10 isn't listed as a, "Classic Cover" on the label I am not sure...definitely one of my favorites of the run and of course a rivet cover which I greatly enjoy. Cool Books K!!

happened to me on a Cap 3 that unfortunately i missed twice. Still think about that one but happily it has resided in good homes since then and a great boardie now owns it!! I sold a few books then lost the auction I wasn't sad as they were all SA keys which can easily be reacquired some of which have but it taught me a lesson for the future especially now collecting GA as they are not nearly as easy to locate. It also taught me to keep my mouth sealed a bit more about what i was chasing as I came on here asking too many questions not even realizing how gigantic some of the folks were that are on this site in the hobby. This is the first and only social media type site i had ever used and remains that way today. It was a very humbling and eye opening experience for me but i am glad it happened personally it only made me appreciate how many more geeks there were out there and that I was about to dive into a vast new world of comicdom i had never chartered before and i had so much more to learn

Agreed and the 37 looks to almost suffer the same issue although the reds and blacks on the 35 seem way more vibrant. When comparing the colors of the label and their likeness i would have to assume the 34 and 37 are faded without another scan to say otherwise My 4.0 and the 8.5 CL copy. My pic was taken with my iphone I am sure Rick has a better pic and copy to compare with...still a great book regardless

What a beauty!!! My gut says outlier but at the same time i think the book will continue to see upward movement as long as the market isn't surprisingly flooded. It doesn't pop up that often but I don't think it's rare it's just not a book folks are parting with although with sales like this you would have to assume a few could surface. There are almost 40 Universal copies on the census. I've made it well known how much I adore it and while i do have a horse in the race i'm not gonna start pounding mint juleps just yet over this 1 sale

Sweet Christmas 4K!!!!!!!! I think even a 2 maybe high with the stains, rips, and pieces missing. CGC is now giving out 0.5s for complete books these days. The bottom left where the spine is split looks like it may be a tad delicate so we can just assume a Slightly brittle isnt out of the realm of possibility as they are tacking it on for even the smallest spots who knows. Big money for sure. I wonder if the writing is pencil or what and if the buyer assumes it is and can be removed? I hope it shows up again some day so we can see the final results

Agreed completely I was actually going to reference that Weird #18 3.0 sale as to why I think the recent sale is probably closer to real market. Still not a book that will slip through the cracks as even in low grade brings decent money but not the $1K a point that particular sale made it seem to look like. I wasn't even in the GA market 10 years ago. I wish I was so I defer to many of you to school me about the market landscape of that period. I do like to look at historical sales of books even in raw form but the only place I can do that nowadays seems to be Heritage. I am intrigued as to whether books like U.S. Jones #2 were just sitting in boxes never selling or if they truly are RARE. I look at Heritage and only see 1 sale in its history for a 0.5 that looked like it just came out of the oven. No other sales. So are they sitting in attics and no one is selling or slabbing them that is the real question? Like the Honus card are 5-6 copies gonna be found at some point and all get auctioned off? Would the market absorb at these prices? I wouldn't tend to think so. I have asked so many folks that have been in the hobby for so long that have NEVER even seen a copy in the wild and Berk tends to agree with that theory from what I have gathered. As usual I guess only time will truly tell I am just happy to finally be in the thick of it I truly do enjoy these types of conversations.

They sure are brother!! Yeah I can't blame her Im the same way and My son likes both but Spiderman is his favorite!!! Just like Dad. I have a feeling many of the young gals that get into comics will like DC there are just so many lead female characters with the publisher right now. The comics she is holding is the perfect example!! As long as they are exposed they can make the ultimate decision for themselves that is what is important. Hopefully someday they dig deep enough to look into the history so they can enjoy and collect GA!!!!
