  1. Wizard World is also trying a brand new price method for booths. They start at $500 for a 10x10 booth. It’s for all shows except Chicago though. They are still at the original pricing for Chicago. It also said in the email that the lineup announcements should come around the end of this month for Chicago.
  2. Sad I couldn’t make it! Hopefully it will get bigger next year.
  3. Sounds like a great idea. I hope they’d keep it accurate though and not turn Stan into the sole hero. He had flaws too, and a great team that made great things happen with him. That being said, Stan the Man is a legend!
  4. It really depends how the book looks right now. If it’s a good candidate for pressing, then yes. Otherwise, I’d leave it alone.
  5. Wish I could've made it this time. I may set up at the Grayslake Pop Con. I'm not doing C2E2 this year, sometimes life gets in the way. Last year sales were great at C2E2. I am doing Wisconsin Comic Con this summer though.
  6. Is anyone here planning on setting up at this show? I may be considering it, but not quite sure yet.
  7. One main reason we didn't set up this year was the long heard buzz of the show progressively going down each year. Our sales at WW last year were pretty good, but we did amazing at C2E2 this year, and chose to just make C2E2 this upcoming year our one major show this time. It's gotten tougher finding keys the last couple years, and we'd rather be very well stocked with some great key issues, than having a mediocre stock and doing a show every 3 months.
  8. I'm looking for 2 dealer passes for the show at cost. If any other dealers can help me out, it would be awesome. I'm usually setup at shows, but since I'm comics, I don't think I'd do well at this show. I'd love to attend as a fan though.
  9. We did great at the booth this past weekend. Our location wasn't too great though. With a better placement, things could've gone even better. A lot of dollar books were sold, with some people buying over 100 from me. I've been depleted of most of our keys, and precode horror. One surprise I didn't directly predict was the large interest in golden age, especially precode horror. I brought a decent amount, and it still wasn't enough. some notable sales: stacks of precode horror Tec 359 ASM 25,41,101, 194 Star Wars 1, 42 Rifleman 10 Silver Surfer 1 Teen Titans (SA) 1 Hawkman 4 New Gods 1 Ms Marvel 1 All Star Comics 58 (3 copies) X-Men 266 (2 copies) Teen Titans 2 Betty and Veronica 320 Shazam 28 KIlling Joke 1st print (2 copies) Batman 386 Four Color 386 The Saint 4 Startling Terror 11
  10. We’re set up at booth 1846, on the outskirts. It’s been a really good show so far. A lot of keys sold. Feel free to stop by, there’s still good stuff left.
  11. I have the rare and elusive Cherry Poptart beach towel listed on eBay. These are not easy to find! https://www.ebay.com/itm/Cherry-Poptart-Beach-Towel-Very-Rare-Plus-Bonus-Lady-Death-Towel/323159177801?hash=item4b3dc9ba49:g:33wAAOSwQFVasbMP
  12. The business my wife and I run might be considered an odd combo. We're switching up some things later this year, but as of right now and the past few years we're comics and comic-related crafts/accessories. My wife does handmade superhero-themed aprons, coin purses, etc. I do Golden to Modern age comics. Our booth at Comic-Cons consist of her products setup on one side, with my comics on the rest of the boothspace. It's worked well for us. We've had many couples where the guy gets to search through longboxes while the wife/girlfriend looks at aprons and chats with my wife. There's not many places like us where you can buy some great precode horror, along with a coin purse for the significant other.
  13. We are over at booth 505, between Greg Reese and CGC. Feel free to stop by and say hi!
  14. Mycomicshop just keeps growing, and I love it. They've been around forever (Lone Star comics), and they always come through.
  15. My JIM 84 arrived packed very well and was exactly as described. Price couldn't be beat! I'd buy from him again in a heartbeat!
