  1. I don’t want my art on the blockchain. It’s all very book of revelations. Mark of the beast. No thank you.
  2. So disagree. It’s not a luxury good at all. It’s a hedge against our central bankers printing us into oblivion.
  3. You are so old fashioned. Herpes isn’t real. There is no reality any more. These millennials and gen z have never even experienced a recession. And 2009 doesn’t count, that was a shallow recession and the beginning of the next phase of the money printing It is no coincidence that bitcoin was introduced right when the trillion dollar platinum coin just first began discussion Copper is on fire today and gold slumps So, to me that begs the question, is herpes real if we pretend it’s not 😏
  4. Yes of course. I suppose I would want to delete just to make a point. 🖕🏾 But that would be only temporarily satisfying. Your idea is much better.
  5. Now that is an interesting question. And why would a publisher grant such a lucrative right ? My gut says no. But then that begs the question what is the value of such a limited NFT
  6. Some of been saying for a long time that displaying the art devalues it
  7. This is bearish for physical comic OA right ? 🙄
  8. Do you know if I buy one of these and “own” it whether I am allowed to delete it ? These things creep me out. I don’t even want to have this on my hard drive in my house. Too spooky.
  9. Number 57 is a bargain. Really like that propeller cap and 3-D glasses look. https://www.larvalabs.com/cryptopunks/topsales
  10. A million dollars is just a temporary concept and an arbitrary transitory price but the digital art is forever 🙄
  11. Our little hobby seems perfectly sane compared to crypto art I am truly very scared for humanity https://www.larvalabs.com/cryptopunks# https://www.larvalabs.com/cryptopunks/forsale
  12. I love that page. Maybe the best page in the book. When the book was originally split up some 15-20 years ago, that was the page thar caught my eye. Everett at his best.
  13. No art by my favorite movie poster artist of all - Mr. Saul Bass :(
  14. https://comics.ha.com/itm/original-comic-art/simon-bisley-lobo-1-cover-original-art-dc-1990-/p/7242-126007.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515
  15. I am not saying Miles Morales isn’t a great character. Nor that he does not resonate with the audience because there isn’t pathos. That is genuine. And just plain good story telling. What I am saying is that he is a derivative character that gets the attention he gets only because he’s black. It’s not original. And it’s certainly not important or significant. In my mind, what makes this moment so significant is that so many people think MM is so important and significant just for being a black Spider-Man. And - I’m not sure your point about Black Panther. Who doesn’t like the Black Panther ? I hope your not implying people only like the Black Panther because of his race 😯. That would be very shallow thinking.
  16. Ok, humor me, if Miles Morales wasn’t black would he still be this important pop icon you claim him to be ? You say it’s ridiculous to claim it is anything about diversity and yet you are so blind you cannot see that it is ALL about that very fact.
  17. To be honest, I think the price and whole justification of the price and furthermore the whole meta conversation is a tad nutty 😂 But Scott gave me permission to be me so that’s my excuse and I’m sticking with it 😐
  18. I can’t help myself. But is this type of analysis not a tad absurd ? I get it. I really do. But this is everything I hated about comic book collecting. Now it’s migrating to OA. Next we are going to start slabbing our art 😔
  19. Well that cuts about 80% off the estimate. We both just saved some money if it’s ever available.
  20. I think we are more in common agreement than you would think. I suppose our disagreement comes down to valuation.
  21. Actually, the idea of championing diversity ebbs and flows in American history going back to at least the 1960s and maybe even further. Not sure what the significance of 2011 is in your mind but my comment was merely a reflection of the overriding significance that many people seem to place on it nowadays, to the detriment of other principles. Cycles ebb abs flow like fashion. Nothing new under the sun.
