because i don't have the money to invest in slabbing. i'm always cash poor. if i find some book in a dollar box and i can flip it for $20-$40 even if it has $250 upside in a slab, i usually take it
This is a quality answer. I have plenty of 9.8 quality books that I sell for nm raw prices for the same reason, even with a 9.8 upside. Especially if it's not a book I collect/consider to be key. (Livewire cough cough)
My question was about the x-factor 24 specifically, a book I consider a classic key book, that I collect in high grade, and thus would not part with any of my own 9.8/ 9.8 quality copies, unless I was forced to, and even then, only if graded for maximum "no regret" selling.
I have a box of 9.8 quality books I collect for my PC, and I would/will not even consider selling unless graded, and then still only if desperate for the money. Most anything 9.8 quality raw I sell is sold raw nm/nm+ listed condition, as I only sell what I don't collect, to buy more of what I do collect, and would never sell a raw listed as 9.8, as only third party graders and Divad are qualified to do that...
As far as the topic of newbies and learning to be a quality seller, my 2258 and 100% feedback since 01' keeps me out of that discussion. Also, a low post count on these boards dosn't mean anything as far as experience, and only means that others have a whole lot more time on their hands.
