  1. Check out the Mile High Comics web site. Many of the Church books from the 1950s are probably lost forever. In the beginning, Chuck was not promoting his find as a "pedigreed" collection. Aside from the fresh inks and white pages, the Atom Age books often bore little resemblance to the the true Golden Age material. In fact, about half of the Atlas books (including most of the Journey Into Mystery and Strange Tales issues) were in the VG to FN range -- and quite inexpensive, relative to the NM/NM+ books from the well-known GA titles. The early Atlas buyers really had no reason to treat their purchases as anything special. This is what I was thinking. I am sure a lot of the original buyers of the early Marvel Tales and Strange Tales didn't realize at the time what they had and there is no doubt some are lost forever. It is unfortunate as hell as I would love to see them reassembled. Johnny545
  2. Agreed I have a mid grade + copy of 130 but have been looking for a fine or better copy for a long, long time. No luck so far...
  3. Heritage auctions has no results for any Marvel Tales or Strange Tales Mile highs, nor does any other auction sites with searchable records. I am very curious what happened to the rest.... I wonder if there is anyway to check which ones of these were ever slabbed assuming they were not slabbed they would have to be raw somewhere or perhaps they were handled (and the grade diminished to an extent slabbing was no longer considered) or perhaps the pedigree info was lost or otherwise forgotten about and they are just floating around. Would love to know where they ended up. Johnny
  4. Zzutak is this original Mile High price guide available in full somewhere on the internet?
  5. Rick over the years have you ever seen any Marvel Tales or Strange Tales Mile High comics come up for sale/auction? Also, how long ago did you part with the 93 and 94? Thanks Rick! Johnny

  9. I think it is more lack of supply than demand. There doesn't seem to be much inventory anywhere and what little there is seems to be the same books.
