  1. Don't forget the lady in a red dress! Very true, very true!
  2. Marvel Tales, Frankenstein, Northford...whats not to love? [/img]
  3. Huge fan of that Mystic and the Astonishing is in amazing shape...would love to know where you picked that one up. Johnny
  4. Atlas pre-code titles are seem to have fairly random cover assignment. I do love the exquisite pencil & inking on this cover. The original art must have been amazing. I am curious what the original art looks like also - the building almost looks like an etching, some old Gustave Dore print...
  5. me and my buddy russ LOVE this cover. nice book, sir. I like it but both of my imaginary friends are ambivalent. It is such a random cover in this run of books, just doesn't seem to fit in, which is why I like it.
  6. One more...a bit rough, but a Vampire cover I haven't seen very often. [/img]
  7. New Atlas, showed up looking better than expected - always a pleasant surprise. [/img]
  8. Agreed, great book, haven't seen one in a while. Nice pick up, what a great horror cover.
  9. Very nice Ill. Havent seen this one before. Are you collecting this run? Johnny
  10. Suspense 26 is one of my favorites, all of them are amazing. Johnny
  11. Would love to know your top 10 Johnny! Some I may have but know for sure some classics I am bound to be missing. Will try and post more tomorrow! Also, my top 10 is dominated by Atlas titles a lot of Maneely, Heath and Everett.
  12. I will post my top 10 list shortly. I will try not to make my copies of ST 28 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 so there is room for others. Johnny
  13. CSS 22 is not on my top 5, but in my top 10.
  14. Would love to see the scans...this is in my list of top 5 covers.
  15. Here is something that shocks me - a Marvel Tales 128 CGC 7.0 went for $1000 on comiconnect? Huh, what...I would like to think I have an idea of what Marvel Tales are worth, but this one tripled my expectation. Bizarre to me. Johnny I'd agree, it's a cool cover and OK issue, but $1000 for F/VF? Hmm. No idea! There's the person or persons chasing Mystery Tales at crazy prices, but Marvel Tales? If so all my few random equivalent quality issues of Marvel Tales are definitely for sale at $1000 a pop! The Mystery Tales prices did go crazy didn't they....why? Why have Journey into Mystery and Mystery Tales in high grade gone through the roof and other Atlas horror titles haven't...curious.
  16. Ummm a Marvel Tales 128 CGC 7.0!!! went for $1,000...huh....what...I felt like I had an idea what MT are worth..., but this made no sense to me whatsoever. Bizarre. Johnny
  17. Here is something that shocks me - a Marvel Tales 128 CGC 7.0 went for $1000 on comiconnect? Huh, what...I would like to think I have an idea of what Marvel Tales are worth, but this one tripled my expectation. Bizarre to me. Johnny
  18. Love that cover also, these books seem more difficult than most Pre-code horror Atlas titles to find in high grade. Has anyone come across the typical horror pedigrees (Bethlehem, Northford, White Mountain, Spokane) of these.
  19. Yeah the Adventures into Terror 21 doesn't get its due respect, what a cover on that one!
  20. I haven't seen CGC's grader notes, but I doubt that the miswrap came into play. However, I do see moderate tanning to the top and right edges of the front cover, some color flaking along the bottom edge of the front cover, and possibly small horizontal tears at the bottom staple. Then there are the three as yet unseen elements: the back cover, the inside covers (which probably have some degree of tanning), and the interior pages. It's a fine book, for sure. (thumbs u But based on what I've seen so far, I'm not ready to conclude that the Sarasota crew missed the mark. Back cover: [/img] Got the grader notes back the ONLY note is: "Whole book tanning." No tears, no stains, no rust, no crease, no ding dents scrapes or scuffs. Thoughts on a re-sub?
