  1. This just arrived today. It cost a small fortune (for me at least), but this is about as rare as they come. It's the promotional poster for the Marvel Third Eye blacklight series that came out in 1971. This was used to advertise the posters and was not for sale to the general public. Very few survived, and when they come up the one or two times a year they're listed on eBay, they can be expensive. Still, I have it now, and that makes me very happy! Enjoy:
  2. Beautiful books Captains! Do we have a cover swipe here or is it a foreign print?
  3. Nice Transmetropolitan page Rob! It's always good to see the Filthy Assistants' dirty bits...
  4. Just arrived in the mail: A nice Fry/Geldhof splash page from Untold Tales of Spider-Man: Strange Encounters featuring Baron Mordo and Dormammu:
  5. Gman, I'm really sorry about grabbing this one from you. No hard feelings I hope. It's one of the prizes of my collection.
  6. Just got this in the mail today from the legendary Gene Colan himself! An unpublished Dr. Strange Splash page!!!
  7. The OC's character Seth Cohen (Adam Brody) loves reading Legion of Superheroes and various other DC Comics. He got into a fight last season when one of his friend/rivals told him Bendis was his favorite comic book writer. Six Feet Under featured an episode where a comic fan wanted to be buried with his most valuable collectible: a copy of Blue Twister #1 (a golden age comic prop was created for the film, complete with interior art and fake ads).
  8. Just got this one for ten bucks on eBay. Love Clea on the splash page too! (Yummy!)
  9. This weird little foreign comic came from England. It's a British version of Strange Tales #121 (plus a bunch of post code Marvel/Atlas horror stories) called Amazing Tales Creepy Worlds #64. It's fairly beat up, but I've never seen any of these before:
  10. Count me in as another person who would love to see these covers. I had no idea these existed until this post and I'm intrigued!
  11. I was in Torrance today and stopped by Geoffrey's Comics. Had some nice looking books... Got this one...
  12. A custom Clea Mego figure (with camel toe no less)! It came with a custom Mego box as well. I'd post it but I'm making a matching one for the custom Doctor Strange figure I already have... Anyhoo, here she is:
  13. Finally, this cover WAS seen on these shores (it reprints Doctor Strange #174), but I got it along with the other 2 so here ya go:
  14. Here's another cover not seen in the States. British Avengers #75, reprinting Doctor Strange (Vol. 1) #178:
  15. Here's some British copies of The Avengers weekly, which featured some Doctor Strange covers that were not seen in the United States. This one, #77, reprinted the first part of Avengers #61...
  16. Great news Ian! Congratulations and kudos to you! Do you consider the convention exclusives, sketch covers, multiple covers and second and third printings official DC releases, or does owning one copy of each comic count? Just wondering because all those Infinite Crisis books alone make the mind boggle. Also, have you considered putting the collection on display at a museum for a limited time? What about a digital archive of the covers? It would be a monumental task to scan all those books, but what a great resource it would be! I think you should strike a deal with the Photojournal Guide people to do another series of books based on your collection. Finally, would you ever consider selling the entire collection? I bet you could get at least 10 million for it...
  17. Beautiful Bat Books, Doiby! Here's a David Finch page from last years Avengers #503 that just came in the mail today
  18. Byrne and Milgrom did covers for all 4 issues of these reprints, and each one is a wrap-around. Here's the whole #1:
