  1. I forgot I had gotten these from a friend, and was curious if anyone can identify the artist of these prints?
  2. It looks like a tape pull kind of thing. Yes, I would agree that those are scratches near / thru the G.
  3. Hello - I am very new to these boards and saw that this was an option. I have been reorganizing my collection, looking for what I don't want to keep (mostly 90s stuff), and remember this book. From what I remember there wasn't a small tear on the front cover, but there is now. Maybe my memory is blocking me from something stupid I did. This will remain in my collection, was just curious to know what type of grade could I be looking at with the small tear as well as a back cover crease I just noticed today. Any feedback / thoughts are appreciated. If additional pictures are needed, I can take more.
  4. Cool. Going to take a trip this weekend. Thanks for sharing.
  5. That's not too far from me. May have to take a look. Trying to get back into the actual collecting aspect and want to try to fill my gaps. I would be looking for GI Joe and Spider-Man (Amazing, Spectacular, Web) related books primarily. Do you think they would still have those types of books?
  6. Hello one and all - Just joined as I am contemplated getting some of my books slabbed that I didn't realize could be more valuable than I had thought. Not talking $1000s worth, more double digit or low triple digit $$s. I started collected comic books when I was about 12. Started with GI Joe ARAH and it kind of expanded there. Had some down times and actually sold my GI Joe portion of my collection at one time for a meager amount of $$ and regretted it ever since. I have since started to try to re-accumulate my collection (slowly, but surely). My collection is probably predominantly Marvel with the next large portion being IDW (they got me with childhood properties such as GI Joe, TMNT, Transformers, etc.). Outside of single issues I do have a small collection of trades and graphic novels. Will say that a good portion of my collection is from the 90s during the "speculator boom". Can admit I fell into that trap of thinking I will strike gold if I held on long enough to one of those "#1 collector's item". Now I am much more discriminating in what I buy new and look for books that I WANT to read. I intend to start to go back to filling up my gaps in my collection.
