  1. Nice books! I would love to one get a 9.8 of Issue 21. Envious and jealous.
  2. In doing some rearranging of my comics in the last year (switching from long boxes to short boxes), I discovered that I somehow am missing issue 30 from my collection. I am hoping that I somehow misplaced it (there are a few others that were seemingly misplaced and not found yet) rather than not realizing I don't have it all these years. I have the complete run (minus #30 - wherever it may be) and bought it at the time they came out. So definitely one of those who took a shine to Darkhawk as soon as he came out.
  3. Not the best picture nor are these recent pickups, but figured this might be a good way to jumpstart the thread again. Show off some of your better GI Joe books/slabs.
  4. I can do the same. I sold my original collection (not sure if it was complete or not), but trying to reacquire nonetheless.
  5. I am surprised at how good of a condition this appears to be.
  6. Some movies should just be left alone.
  7. Soooo.. finally got around to watching this with my wife yesterday. Overall, wasn't as bad as I thought it would be based on the comments I've seen here. Were there some bad parts? Oh yes! I did like seeing Christopher Lambert will always be my Raiden. The glory eyes thing didn't work for me at all. Overall, wasn't horrible. Was watchable. Went in with low expectations, and those expectations were met.
  8. I really don't know how I feel about this. There is no "GI Joe" feel to this at all. It's a ninja movie. Which is fine and would have no issues if that is all this was. Once again, they are redefining GI Joe characters and taken away a good chunk of what made them who they are and what made them loved by so many. Color me disappointed. Will I watch it? Of course. Just may not be at the theater.
  9. I concur. Least favorite voice of all characters shown so far.
  10. If someone you know has it and can ADD you to their household (they can add 1), you can access to the Amazon Prime Video as well.
  11. Epsiode was wild and crazy!!!! I flipped through the books, to show my wife, and can't believe how much was right from the source (more or less). So happy its been renewed for at least 2 more seasons. I heard Kirkman has enough material for 7 seasons, which would be glorious!!
  12. Have you read any of the other stuff? Like Invincible Universe or Invincible Returns? I haven't had a chance to see if any of these are worth the read yet.
  13. https://variety.com/2021/tv/news/invincible-renewed-season-2-amazon-1234963347/
  14. I am loving the series too. Must faster pace than the books, from what I can recall. Lots of tweaks. My wife keeps asking me "why did Omni-man do that?"... which I have to keep saying "wait and see" I knew there would be some level of gore with the fights, but didn't think it would be so spot on with the books. I re-read (compendiums) the whole series in advance of this series coming out. Glad I did as it is fun identifying the differences between the TV series and the source.
  15. Had a transaction with Adam that materialized out of a non-sales thread. Easy and smooth transaction.
  16. https://collider.com/mortal-kombat-movie-sequels-joe-taslim-sub-zero/ Actors signing on for multiple films before studios even know the success of the first film is nothing new in Hollywood. Marvel is well known for signing its MCU actors to multiple-film deals before their first appearance on screen in case their character is needed for future productions. If Mortal Kombat turns out to be a hit at the box office, it makes sense that Warner Bros. would want to lock in the actor behind its most important character, Sub-Zero, to a long-term deal — especially one that is reportedly so good at martial arts stunts that he not only terrified the crew, but had to be asked to slow down his moves so they could be captured on-camera. Mortal Kombat is set to release in theaters and HBO Max this Friday, April 23.
  17. Hadn't paid attention to know about this. Watched the trailer... this looks funny. Not what I would expect for a show with MODOK (albeit, I don't have a lot of knowledge of the character).
  18. Seems to be a lot of us collecting Joes. I am trying to re-collect the collection I sold 15 years ago . If you are willing to sell some of those high numbers, PM and see if we can come to a deal.
  19. Netflix Inks Deal for Rights to Sony Movies, Including Coming ‘Spider-Man’ Films Netflix Inc. has reached a multiyear agreement with Sony Pictures Entertainment for domestic streaming rights to the studio’s theatrical movies, the companies said Thursday. The deal will start with Sony Pictures’ 2022 movie slate. As part of the pact, Netflix will have a first-look option to pick up movies Sony is making or licensing specifically for streaming platforms. Netflix has committed to ordering an undisclosed number of those films, the streaming giant said. Among the releases that will land on Netflix after their theatrical runs are future “Spider-Man” movies and other films based on Marvel characters that Sony has the rights to, including Morbius and Venom. Netflix will also license older movies from Sony’s library. Sony Pictures Entertainment is a unit of Sony Group Corp. Terms of the five-year deal weren’t disclosed. People familiar with the deal said it would be worth several hundred million dollars annually and more than $1 billion over the course of the agreement. The precise figure will depend, in part, on the box office performance of the films. The Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. -owned pay-TV channel Starz has rights to Sony movies through the end of this year. Getting access to Marvel titles was a key incentive for Netflix, which is no longer getting fresh Marvel content from Walt Disney Co. as those movies and TV shows moved to the Disney+ streaming service.
  20. Same. Loved going to the arcade with a few dollars and spending hours kicking . Scorpion was my favorite, too. With Kitana as a close second. Liu Kang was my least favorite, but seem to be a favorite of a lot of my competitors. Even bought this for my PS3.
  21. Yep. Duke doesn't get introduced till issue #23 along with Roadblock.
  22. Do wonder if it is inspired by this cover or what transpires in this issue.
