  1. Same here. The source page (issue 14, page 18) is beautiful. <3
  2. [Deal expired] For new(er) L & K readers, you can get all 6 volumes via Humble Bundle. Also included is The March which is a superb read for those history buffs. Humble Bundle -- IDW // Top Shelf Productions
  3. I this series. I have read through the series (thus far) multiple times. And I feel like a m0ron each time. Reading it again, I feel like a fool when a obvious clue goes over my head.
  4. Thank you, thank you, thank you for bringing to my attention what will be a Mind MGMT 13 CGC blue label. <3
  5. I knew the publishing date of Marvel Super Heroes #13. I put too much weight into Carol Danvers' first appearance as Ms. Marvel. I used past tense, right? I didn't say "think". I said "thought". That plus the Dumb and Dumber image (that image was in reference to me, not you). I had a tough time rationalizing the price for Ms Marvel #1 (2014) against Ms Marvel (1977). I still kind of do considering the price of Deadpool's first solo comic and ANMP1. But I guess I'm later edit: (2nd edit) Deadpool was present in a number of issues before Circle Chase (first Deadpool series). I'm not saying DP #1 CC is a better book, but I'm considering its current price. Carol Danvers was present in a number of issues before Ms Marvel #1 (1977). I guess a short appearance plus two significant appearances for Kamala Khan before Ms Marvel 2014 do not have as much impact. The covers are superb though. Another edit [\u] I'm not saying my logic is correct. If I don't stick my neck out, I won't learn. Thank you.
  6. Ms Marvel #1 (1977) is not the first appearance of Carol Danvers. Same can be said with Kamala Kahn in Ms Marvel (2014). Is it not a fair comparison? No, because Carol Danvers has been around for many years (first apperance is in Marvel Super-Heroes #13, the second issue of Captain Marvel) before becoming Ms. Marvel in her own title in 1977. And aside from the Point One brief story these single pages are just "teasers", if one wants to read Kamala Khan all he needs is to start from Ms. Marvel #1. Thank you for the edification. I thought Carol Danvers' first appearance as Ms Marvel (Ms Marvel #1 1977) was a fair comparison to Ms. Marvel #1 (2014).
  7. Ms Marvel #1 (1977) is not the first appearance of Carol Danvers. Same can be said with Kamala Kahn in Ms Marvel (2014). Is it not a fair comparison?
  8. you should hang out. this is a great place to learn, fight whatever... most here are real cool ! I ... Now i see how some guys get there posts counts up . I am only trying to help. Truly. Nothing wrong with comparing prices with Ms Marvel #1 1977.
  9. Also, I made direct reference to Carol Danvers' first appearance prices. I don't see Ms Marvel #1 (2014) over taking Ms Marvel #1 (1977) in the immediate future.
  10. Ms Marvel #1 (cover A unless otherwise noted): Those completed eBay listings (~$50) were very recent. As for active listings: $85 BIT or $110 for 1 thru 12 <-- NM There's also a 1:100 listed at $100 BIT in NM+. I do not expect the next eBay auction to sell as it has a $85 minimum bid. Still a far cry from $125. Joke: Global Frequency #1 RRP is listed at $2,000. That must make it a $2,000 book. I am just trying to keep someone new to the boards from determining pricing off of a few BIT listings.
  11. Paul and I are not trying to bully you. Nor are we trolling. I am not certain, but confident, that Paul and I have made our share of mistakes in learning how to collect comics. We are merely trying to help you learn. Please reference the prices of Carol Danvers' first appearance. Kamala Khan's Ms Marvel #1 cover A is now-currently not going to be $125; not while you can get Ms Marvel #1 (1977) at its current price.
  12. Dude read the thread. Dude listen to me.. no one is bashing Captain Marvel, Volume 6, Issue Number 17 the are arguing with you because you can't let it go. You are either a very smart troll or an infuriating person. You talk about people not listening to your points, they are. Yet you repeat things that have been answered. It is not a preview story that takes what is in Ms Marvel #1 or any other issue it is an original story that is in no other Ms Marvel single issue. The FIRST original story CENTERED around the character. All of us arguing with you are agreeing that CM 17 2nd print is a nice book. This thread was looking for the 1st OFFICIAL full appearance label and it has been found because of this thread. My question is what are you arguing about? What is your goal? Troll? Listen newbie.... "all of us" stop.. I am fine with everyone except for you and this dumb post...Your goal was to quote bad Ms Marvel #1 prices and argue. Mine was to get another KEY label correct .... You have some good posting skills and lingo for 15 posts? Hum ......you been here before? Is this a new name for you? No first time on CGC I just happen to not be filled with emotion as you are which makes logic come easy to me. But when I saw someone was looking for 1st app label I registered just to see it. I quote realistic prices sir (give or take a 20) and I'm still waiting for you to send me a link to a nice cheap Ms Marvel #1, I would like to buy one but only your superior knowledge can lead me to it, one that's still active please I'm not a fan of nostalgia. Hugs and kisses xox When pricing comics, it is not wise to go by eBay's BIT. When pricing comics, one good method is to look at eBay's completed listings. As it pertains to completed listings, I gave you the very latest completed listing's item numbers for BIT and Auction -- in this very thread. Miss Marvel #1 First Print #1 You priced it at $125+ Last auction: $55 (also included 2 thru 7 -- item #121651121651) Last BIT: $45 (item #261888989754)
  13. They also have a ton of distribution and retail channels that Dark Horse does not. It is within the realm of possibilities that they could be pushing comics in Disney stores, theme parks, or other Disney affiliated outlets. Yup, comparing DH to Disney with such a prestigious brand will prove to be far more lucrative for the giants I suspect. I actually always wondered how Dark Horse got a hold of SW back when they did.. Its one thing to license Aliens and Terminator.. Alas, Im sure that Dark Horse will eventually benefit from the success of the series with Marvel and the upcoming movie, as well as they should! IIRC: [/uu] Those who speculated on DH's will benefit. Not Dark Horse. As of roughly 1-Jan-2015, Dark Horse, in addition to not being able to write new SW stories, cannot print their old ones either. In late December 2014, Dark Horse gave folks one last chance to get all 568 Star Wars issues in digital format for $300.
  14. Looking at the prices of the Ms Marvel #1 first print 9.8 blues, it's crazy to see an Adams sketch cover (1:100) still listed at 9.6 blue for $200 OBO. I think the Adams slabs (1:50 and 1:100) are priced proportionally. The cover A slabs are priced substantially more than the raw cover As in NM. My copies are at CGC too. If the slabs were in my hands today, I'd still be holding onto them for a little bit longer. Kamala Kahn ABC announcement.
  15. Aside from your discussion, better to learn the difference between Neal Adams and Arthur Adams before moving on… Or not? I know the difference. I'm not a insufficiently_thoughtful_person. Neal Adams is top 5 artist in most people's minds. Sigh. I could have just as easily made a mistake in saying "Adam Hughes". And thank you for backing my theory. One is more likely to get or than have someone address their thoughts, arguments or comments.
  16. Low's TPB sales are back to where I expected them to be. What triggered the sudden jump in Low's TPB sales last month? It probably was included in a loot crate or something similar. On what date is #7 to be released? It is to be determined? This book deserves more attention. This book is so good.
  17. Dude you're the one who took my simple statement and then try to trash me for something I didn't say, don't play the victim. Trash you? I'm trying to have a conversation here. Ms Marvel 1 cover A is not a $125 book. You can still get the 1:50 and 1:100 for much less. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Ms-Marvel-2014-1-Unread-Near-Mint-First-Print-/221758929063?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item33a1dcb8a7 http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Ms-Marvel-2014-3rd-Series-1A-VF-8-5-/361297395749?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item541f00c025 http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Ms-Marvel-2014-3rd-Series-1A-NM-9-4-/361298160136?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item541f0c6a08 http://mycomicshop.com/search?TID=25251800 Don't want the variants. Those prices are less than $125. You can also get a cheaper price on eBay auction. At auction: Cover A sells for $35. 1:50 sells for $45. 1:100 sells for $65. You are so nice. Plus shipping but you're right I was off by $20 or so lets say $100+ wouldn't want to make a mistake. Please post the auction of this $35 NM Ms Marvel #1 so I can buy it. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/1-Ms-Marvel-2014-1st-printing-NM-/321755747165?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4aea23135d Just now, I edited my post to reflect the pricing of the last two Ms Marvel 1 first prints sold on eBay. I included item IDs. And yes, I am nice. I am spending some of my time to prevent someone from over paying on a book.

  20. Y'all are so nice. It was 2AM. Look at the name of this thread and the name of the Spider Gwen thread. Mistakes occur. This board is much more apt to call someone a speculator than address one's point/argument. That said, I can't get too salty. @cbaileypacker brought the importance of CM 17 2nd print to my attention 6+ months ago. I also think @cbaileypacker brought up Ms Marvel #1 too while everyone was focused on MD and GotG in ~April-2014.
  21. Do you mean $125+ graded as CGC 9.8? The Neal Adams variant NM (1:50) sells for $45. The Neal Adams sketch variant (1:100) sells for $65. Near Mint for sure some slabbed 9.8's are close to $250 on the bay weirdly enough online the original cover is catching up with the variants that I've seen. However you got a site where they are cheap let me know Ms Marvel 1 NM regular cover has not been selling for more than the Neal Adams covers. And my prices are accurate WRT eBay auctions. Auction ID 321752715141 is US$49.95 for a Ms Marvel #1 Neal Adams cover (1:50). eBay Item id 321752715141

  23. I would guess that boardies value their 1/2/3 cover As more than what they've been selling on eBay for. I certainly do.
  24. I agree that Mind MGMT is the one series that I'll never give up, sell, trade, etc.... But dropping 1K on a #13 sketch cover truly boggles my mind. I'm almost certain that if you reached out to Sharlene you could easily own 3-5 pages of OA from Mind MGMT I guess I'm in the camp of "never pay more for a single issue that an OA page costs from that same issue". Besides, buying OA from Matt and Sharlene helps them directly...FeeBay doesn't. Ok, I'll step off my pedistool now Good luck on your quest, I'm definitely in favor of ALL Mind MGMT collecting desires! I agree with your argument about OA if one was making their purchases today. I think speculators are buying a lot more #1s and unique 13 -- not OA. The day will come where I can increase my collection on #13s. That day is not today. I have saved eBay searches. For 12+ months, I never saw a unique 13 for sale. But, last month, a 13 was sold on these boards. And now there's an eBay listing. The day is drawing closer where I can increase my Mind MGMT collection on the cheap.
  25. With the Mind MGMT VOLUME ONE coming to an end, I hope to increase my #13 original cover collection. There's one up on eBay at the moment. I haven't seen one up for on FeeBay for months. There was a thread lately on what book you can't give up. For me, that is absolutely Mind MGMT and Saga and a few others. In that order. Thank you Matt Kindt.
