  1. it's for the best. _____________ For the Will Forte fans: http://filmschoolrejects.com/news/the-last-man-on-earth-trailer.php
  2. For the lazy. Event will transpire at: Prairieland Park 503 Ruth St W, Saskatoon Canada
  3. The poor seller [not me] also listed a Five Ghosts #6 NYCC print (limited to 200) CGC 9.8 yellow for $49 + shipping. It sold during the same hour as the 9.6 blue label ECCC copy. That seller had very poor luck/timing. Best Regards, FG #6 NYCC hoarder
  4. Emezy has it, I know, but only the one. Thank you, though. I have a bunch of watched searches that I check a couple times a day and that sketch cover came up. Really awesome sketch, but probably a little too much for a 9.6 I thought it was a little high too but it is a nice sketch. No doubt the sketch is awesome! You aren't buying the 9.6. I don't even look at a books grade if I'm buying a sketch. +1 I too like the Ranger sketch. I agree in that it's about the sketch; not the grade. Your DD sketches look superb, Erndog. When pricing Saga SS books, one must be mindful of any sketches on the back by Fiona Staples. HarveySwick's recent Revival sketch is in the spoiler below. I would take Harvey's Revival Sketch graded at a 9.0 or so over one graded at a 9.8. But that sketch/coloring might be deemed as being on another level -- it's superb.
  5. I'll trade you a NM+ copy of this cover/comic for any other the other #13 covers. Any time.
  6. I'm not a big Comic-Con person. I might have to pay a visit to the Boston Comic-Con for the sake of the Image Comics panel: Saturday, 9-Aug @ 12pm: Image Comics Panel Tim Seeley, Mike Norton, Nick Pitarra, Ming Doyle
  7. It was I who took the chance on this listing. Auction Items Rat Queens #1, #1 second print, 2, 3, 4, 5. Seller name Larissaf84 Cost $33 after shipping Described as brand new Results: One week turn around. Subpar packaging (bags/boards but no protection). But the copies are NM (one was 9.8, the rest were 9.6 or 9.4). The seller also had a Peter Panzerfaust action. I got #1 second print, 4-13, 16 & 17 for $28. Most were VF+/NM- due to crease damage. But the #1 second print is CGC worthy. He has a couple more good listings remaining: Uncanny X-Men 282 ($3 min bid) and a Saga lot ($16 minimum bid for 13 floppies).
  8. I can continue to build my SS collection after all.
  9. Deadpool's first Solo series (Circle Chase) #1 sells for $15 raw (9.4-9.6) and $65+ CGC 9.8. To the best of my memory, the Marvel/DC 2013/2014 books with the most immediate pop are Deadpool 27, Catwoman 23, Harley Quinn #0 and Forever Evil #1 3D.
  10. Saga is one of the few series I collect as a collector (I am a speculator). I foresee much trouble completing my set; it's going to be pricey. But I'm not paying out -- not now. I'm interested to see any Saga CGC SS completed auction listings that are past issue 12.
  11. Who ever is first to the second hand market with third story arc 9.8 Yellows (SS) is in for a big pay day. (Issues 13 through 18). Really? How much? I strongly suspect that BKV and Fiona haven't done many signings lately (if any). I've had much trouble finding any SS past issue #12. If one were to go up for auction (9.8 CGC SS), I would not be surprised at all if it sells for greater than $100.
  12. Who ever is first to the second hand market with third story arc 9.8 Yellows (SS) is in for a big pay day. (Issues 13 through 18).
  13. Terrific collection! It's a shame we don't see a #11 Phantom variant in the mix (it was never released; see the volume 1 hardcover for a photo -- it is of Coop & spirit-like figure).
  14. Thanks for the hardcover pictures. I missed out on the hardcovers. But I'm glad I caught onto the #13 unique covers. I'll post a picture of mine the next time I rifle through my long boxes.
  15. Without the sour, the sweet is not as sweet. That is, your successes ( ) carry less weight if you ignore your misses. Well, I'm afraid Revival was a miss for me. I purchased my Revival collection in March-2013. The most notable of which was quantity of four #1 sketch variants graded by CGC as 9.8. And I just sold collection for a loss of 35% (after all fees [FeeBay]). I will still read Revival and post my plot predictions. But I don't see any money in it. More information is below in the spoiler tag (no plot spoilers -- just trying to better organize my ). All that said: I hope I am wrong. I thoroughly enjoy the story & it warrants great success in other forms of media.
  16. which is why I can't figure out why the FCBD issue isn't selling for me....I mean it IS the first appearance right? FCBD was at the beginning of May... #2 is already out. I think #1 might have come first. I could be wrong on this though. Correct #1 was released April 30th. Just want to jump in real quick about V Wars. The true 1st appearance is the WonderCon Anaheim variant (April 18-20th). Rumor is the print run was only 300. Here is a like to one on eBay (not my listing). V Wars #1 WonderCon exclusive I only know because I was looking forward to the series. I really enjoyed his zombie novel Rot and Ruin. Great writer, and V Wars has been a good read so far. (thumbs u Thanks for the heads up on the WonderCon variant. But I don't think it's the rarest. There is a 1:200 variant. WonderCon 1:200
  17. Ken, what time will you be at the booth for Hartford Comic Con?
  18. Erik Carter is my nephew and the inspiration for Todd's character. He's credited in the book. Ken, any idea how many Erik signed? However many there are, whoever has them are holding onto them. I have only seen two for sale: the one mentioned in this forum (CGC 9.8 SS Kristensen/Carter) and a CGC 9.4 Kristensen/Carter sold out of Ebay UK.
