Yeah, I tend to agree with you. 9.8 is an entirely different beast these days. I think we've reached a point where a subgroup of collectors/investors just have to have the highest graded copy. A friend of a friend is one of those guys who collected as a kid and just got back into the hobby two years ago. He grew up on Masters of the Universe, Transformers, etc.. And he's one of those guys who just has to have 9.8 slabbed books. 9.6s? No. Lower grade solid investments from GA or SA? Not a chance. Granted, we're talking about a collector who will buy moderns in 9.8 for 1-2k a pop, so not a comparison here to the collectors who are going very big, as we just saw with the MS 5. But, I think there may be more of these "9.8 or bust" collectors out there than we think. Just my two-cents.
