I saw an article that said there were rumors that Disney wanted to sell Fox. If they do, no more X-Men or FF.

Yeah, I think they were counting on Batman to beef up the box office, but that didn't really work. I think it would have been cooler if the heroes had to face some peril from an earlier movie. Maybe the Penguin Army from Batman Returns, or even the original Zod, Ursa and Non from Superman II. But that would have taken a lot of CGI.

I have a two volume set on the history of Cannon and the author says it was the big budget movies that brought them down. The Sylvester Stallone arm wrestling movie(I'm forgetting the name), Superman IV, and Masters of the Universe.. The crew who worked on Superman said they weren't allowed to finish the special effects(which is why they look so dismal), and Golan Globus cut the 2 and a half movie down to 90 minutes, so they could fit in more showings. Jon Cryer, who worked on IV as Lenny Luthor (!) Said that Cannon released an unfinished movie.

The Cannon Captain America movie was so bad that it went direct to video and looked like the budget was the equivalent of a Happy Meal. Cannon screwed up Cap and destroyed the Superman franchise. Thank God they were never able to make their planned Spider-Man movie, in which Golan wanted to have Spidey live in a web,.eating flies.

Yeah, but Michael Keaton! You can't kill off the Keaton Batman.. That's like killing off James Stewart at.the end of It's a.Wonderful Life. Some things just aren't done.

Those comedy covers DC used in the mid to late forties rarely matched up with any of the stories inside.

I watched the 4k disc last night, and I still really like this movie. The only disappointing thing is that I think the audience Gunn hates 1989 Batman, The Dark Knight and has already changed a movie for the worse in his job as the new head honcho for DC. I'm very pessimistic on his take for the new DCEU.

I've always considered Captain America and Hulk to be A-list. Another A-lister that no one has mentioned is the Joker. Yeah, he's a villain, but every movie that he's appeared in has been a box office smash, even a lesser film like the first Suicide Squad.
