  1. Might I suggest Axelrod's Materialistic Weasel Award
  2. Ep 3 is the best one thus far IMHO and honestly not that impressed with any ep yet compared to season 1.
  3. Also becoming the first guy whose mom threw out his comics
  4. He's just jealous cuz he might not get a shot at your package this year
  5. At first I thought who is this Al person, and why not have him grade comics? And then I was like, oohhhhhhh A.I., like the movie
  6. The daughter of Wolverine and Farrah Fawcett?
  7. I somewhat agree with his statement regarding continuity of character (ie Mario) because it was the way they screwed around with the characters/group in the first X-Men movie that was partially why it sucked. However if they do it right with the right actor (ie SLJ as Fury), than it can work out well.
  8. Alright, I'll bite with my craziest: A few summers back, I decided to drive east from Western MA out toward Boston and hit a bunch of comic shops I had never been to. The day was bright and warm as I started out and the trip itself uneventful. The shops I visited ranged from fairly big with good inventory, too small and cramped. I decided to buy at least one thing from each shop, hoping to find a real nice nugget at one of them. About halfway through my trip I stopped at one of the too small and cramped shops and went inside. There was one guy inside and he gave me a pleasant enough greeting. The shop was dimly lit and held little knick knack type items more than anything else. As I started perusing the tiny shop, the guy didn't say anything, just kind of stood in the corner near the door. I started looking through some loose wacky package cards and could feel his eyes on me. It was a down right creepy feeling. I decided to purchase the cards and was walking towards him when I noticed that he had locked the door. I calmly walked over and paid him for the cards, then walked to the door and unlocked it and left. He never said a word. All I could think of later was that scene from pulp fiction with the two guys ending up in Zed's basement. Needless to say, I never back to that shop.
  9. I couldn't wait to see Dr. Sleep but was disappointed by it. It just wasn't scary enough to stand up to the Shining.
  10. I am always on the hunt for Byrne and do eventually want to pick up a nice Jim Lee piece, so maybe that will happen this year
  11. I thought this might be a good topic for discussion seeing as most people enjoy his films. Here is my top ten: 10. Christine (who doesn't love a movie about a cool killer car!) 9. Stand by Me (the leach scene will haunt me forever) 8. Misery (the hobbling scene will haunt me forever!) 7. Creepshow (the best of his anthology movies) 6. Pet Sematary (sometimes dead is better..'nuff said) 5. Green Mile (Tom Hanks at his best) 4. The Shining (was once my favorite, and still in my top 5) 3. Carrie (before GoT red wedding, you had the red prom) 2. Dead Zone (Walken at his best) 1. Shawshank Redemption (a near perfect movie, should have won the Oscar)
  12. So, when there are no more oddly similar covers to list, should we do an evenly different covers thread?
  13. I had considered this book, but not sure I want to ruin the OA..
  14. Tough to put up a top 3 after being (maybe to) prolific a buyer this year, but these will do..
  15. Received mine today, but unfortunately Hulk smashed through the wrapping paper! Can't wait to see the rest, thank you so much @oldmilwaukee6er and wishing everyone a very Happy Holiday!
