This news to me as well, as these are books that are Scheduled for Grading, if you have GPA they are starting to notate Newsstand Edition.

They never put anything in descriptions that does not go on the label, ergo if they put Newsstand Edition, that will go on the label. They used it before on Gen 13 # 1.

Sooooooo I believe CGC will start putting Newsstand Edition designation going forward. I sent a ton of newsstands in, and the all are noted in the description. Although i believe if you want to send a book in from prior grading to get that designation, you will have to pay for a reholder, not mechanical error, thoughts?

Sent 10 books in Express, Received 7/27, Shipped 8/2. 5 Amazing Spider-man # 361 Newsstand and 5 Venom Lethal Protector # 1 Gold Edition, just wanted to ride the movie hype before it comes out. I also wanted to see how quick Express will be, i have two more sent in from Terrificon, Comic Mint Moon Knight #1 by Ken Lashley, trade and virgin. I still get the 15% off as i renewed membership before the price change, so i figured $102 with discount, and if you add fast track and grading for regular modern $22 +$15 +37, you are technically paying roughly $67 or so extra to have your book in less than two weeks. Now everyone doesn't have that money to spend, and also books may not be worth it. but some some books may not be relevant by the time they get back.

I don't believe newsstand have reached their zenith, i actually believe they are picking up steam. Key point, GPA is finally listing newsstand sales, and who knows maybe CGC will start labeling newsstand designation. There are a lot of comics that are hard to find newsstands, DC in fact are hard to find newsstand. Newsstand topics are starting to pick up even here on the CGC boards. So i don't see this dying down any time soon.

I picked up a ton of Newsstands this weekend at Terricficon this week, a lot of them were keys. Most of the issue were pressable high grade candidates, not just Marvel, DC as well. Will try to post pics tomorrow, to tired from show.

Finally a fun show! It has been awhile, lots of people. Purchased quite a few books, mostly from one dealer, a bunch of newsstands and one Mark Jewelers.

I have noticed my value submissions have been picking up steam. It seems they are eager to get rid of that tier.

Finally getting back my submissions from February ( actually arrived January) , arriving this week!! First 100 books of my 400 book submission, still have 200 to send out, set up before the price hike. All prescreen, 75 for modern, 13 did not pass, 25 value, two did not pass, so extremely happy!!!

My 2/15 Modern Pre Screen sits at received, but 2/16 Value Pre Screen has moved to SFG, WINNING!!

Marvel Bronze Age cards, has anyone else opened these?

I have sooooo many number 1's from this era, i purchased collections as well as purchased books at shows. I am a bit shocked at that myself, i was sure it was a 9.8.

I keep sending books in, so when the few hundred books i have sent in will be coming back on a monthly basis into next year. I try to stagger all my submissions like that, this way i don't get overwhelmed all at once. The only time i will stop is, if i run out of space, or customers stop buying, fortunately customers are still buying!!
