  1. Got to talk to Frank B. this weekend again at Third Eye Comics. Always a blast chatting with him and he really is a nice guy in person. He was signing my remaining Five Ghosts that have come out since the last time he was out and I asked him if he would send them to Mooneyham to get signed as well. He said he couldn't but would give me his email address to ask him. I told him I was joking but appreciated the offer. Seriously though, I have been so impressed with Five Ghosts each issue since it started, and am thrilled that the creators really care what their fans think about the book and are willing to help out.
  2. Sorry, was away for a couple of days. I had posted it a while ago and basically got a "who cares, there have only been 5 sales" comment. There were a bunch of copies that mysteriously dried up on eBay and on mycomicshop after the post was put up on the 15th. I did find out that Devil's Hopyard is a page by page reprint of Scatterbrain.
  3. Adam Warlock you say? His cocoon (from his first appearance as Him) has already been seen in stills, and James Gunn may have let info on Captain Marvel and Adam Warlock slip http://comicsheatingup.net/2014/02/22/did-james-gunn-indirectly-confirm-adam-warlock-and-captain-marvel-in-guardians/ in a podcast interview
  4. +1 Not for 25 years though, but flipping for even a small profit has led me to not have to pay for a single comic book out of my own pocket for 2+ years now. Sometimes a $5 profit over multiple copies sold keeps you supporting books you love.
  5. And the funny thing is it is actually a reprint book.
  6. It will. Guaranteed. AMC. Kirkman has made them so much cash, I bet they ALLREADY own it. lonzilla and Larry, 100% agreed. Kirkman is a media monster now. I think he is only printing books through Skybound now that will get media deals.
  7. Question about Devil's Hopyard. Is it a reprint? Or is it a retelling of the previously released series "Scatterbrain"? http://comicsheatingup.net/2014/02/15/devils-hopyard-first-appearance/
  8. Question on the Turtles books. Are there any key's on them. You say they are doing good but are they selling at a premium. I have a chance to get all the RI covers cheap and not sure if I should pull the trigger.
  9. Because people wanted the sequel which never came. This is the sequel. Estimated to be a small print run on the book.
  10. I don't get it. I love Dredd but this is a movie book. Stock up now on the Batman/Judge Dredd crossover. Hehe Now if they make a sequel starring Diane Lane again ? All bets are off. (thumbs u I don't get it either but any book I can sell for $20 the same week it comes out, I'll take.
  11. Looks like Dredd Underbelly may be selling well..... http://comicsheatingup.net/2014/02/01/dredd-underbelly-movie-sequel-heating-up/
  12. Thank you! That's high praise! And to be fair, she also used the word twatwaffle. at twatwaffle
  13. +1 on the Westwood Witches. Good book. Series just ended. Worth the read. Looking forward to Wytches.
  14. I live in Maryland right outside of Fort Meade, (non-military), where in Md were you? I had about 15 copies signed by all four cast members, plus about another 15-20 unsigned that we're just left at the table after they split. Larry told me to hold them but I was getting $20 signed and $10 unsigned the weekend after Baltimore Comic con, I sold through them faster than I should have. I lived on post at Aberdeen Proving Grounds when I was in AIT for about 6 months. Really beautiful up there. I was able to visit NYC, Philly, Connecticut, and I spent a ton of time in Baltimore at a place called Hammerjacks. I haven't had a drink in more than twenty years because Baltimore and places like it almost did new in. I ran around everywhere up there and used to go check out a lighthouse in Havre de Grace, home of the Ripkens. I also loved the harbor. Very, very good memories. (thumbs u I know Hammerjacks very well. Best rock club in Baltimore.

  16. I have 10 copies to pick up tomorrow. I cannot wait to get this book.
  17. I think number 1 was ok but glad I picked up number 2. This issue nailed it and hooked me. Went back and retread them together. Much nicer flow. The action really cranks up on the second issue
  18. First "true appearance" was on my tv. Trying to figure out how to get my tv and dvr, paused to the pitch at Dynamite, to CGC without it coming unplugged so it can be slabbed and graded....
  19. Kinda like the folks here on the boards. There's always one of each wherever you go. True
  20. I have met all the guys. Walt is kind of pompous, Brian is a jerk. Mike is nice he took pictures for me. Ming is the coolest by far.
  21. I saw that.... The Bow Tie Variants seem particularly bad.
  22. To be honest I disapprove of your use of a puppy as a distraction, I was under the impression the internet was only for cat pictures.
  23. Picked up 10 copies of the Five ghosts #6 Third Eye variant. The Five ghosts team will be signing at Third Eye this weekend and I cannot wait. Kelly Sue Deconnick and Emma Rios will be signing Pretty Deadly as well. I cannot wait for this.
  24. September was a booming month for me. October, not so much.
  25. Got a chance to meet Kurtis and Roc today. Second time meeting Kurtis. Got ten regular copies signed and a limited edition print of Betty (30 total made for the signing divided between the four characters).
