  1. Ken has the sharpest wit in this business IMHO (actually not that humble). His comic makes me laugh like the best comedies on TV

British Office (I refuse to recognize the Yankee version and I am a Yank)

    Arrested Development

    Curb Your Enthusiasm

    Always Sunny in Philadelphia

    And of course....

    All in the Family

  2. now you're just talking out of your !

    lol

He has been known to rile the mob from time to time lol

Who me? Innocence is a "State of Mind".

I mean, he definitely never stirs things up with eBay sellers. I can totally vouch for him on that front.

    ;)

  3. Cute? are you serious?

if by "wow, The Saga RRP Cover is awesome and reminds me of a Star Wars homage " kinda "Cute" then i agree with you

    :D

It is a nice cover. Not even close to the EoW cover. Strictly talking RRP covers

Nice profile cover w/ cute little baby and its little horns.

EoW says "F@$& w/ me and I will rain down a sh@$storm on you"!

Plus I think Hickman would beat the out of BKV.

  5. yep, but it's still the only option.

Also, those are ALL yellowed now ;)

    Bottom line:

    Saga RRP cover is cute

EoW RRP=kick a$@ character w/ a kick a$@ gun and then that cute "dog thing"!

Can't believe this is even a topic.

Which one do u think Chuck Norris would choose...I rest my case!

  6. Well it sold last night. I accepted an offer that I was pleased with.

Congrats...although based on the pics u posted on here I would say someone got a great deal. Just out of curiosity did u consider getting it graded?

  7. I would be weary of the $375 bin or best offer listing. No way of seeing the bottom edge or bottom spine corner of book.

But the seller states "High Grade" so it has to be a 9.8 candidate right????

    :)

I am always VERY suspicious when a seller crops a picture to not show all 4 edges of a book.

you took the words out of my mouth not full disclosure on condition that thing would have probably sold by now with a full photo of the book it may look great but his pictures don't help. :boo:

Lets all meet back here at 6:34 pm on 10/26/2015 then we can all laugh about how much of a steal a raw EoW RRP for $375 would be. I agree on the way this is represented though...cropped picks and "High Grade" WTF does that even mean.

Does this help? When posting from a mobile device you have to crop it. The best offer option was and is available. If I don't sell the book its all good and fine by me either way. I did not list this book on the boards purposely and I have my reasons for that. Just send me a msg if you have any questions.

I have to say that looks awesome.

  8. I was watching that auction. Was going to bid, but I'd just sent four copies off to nycc to be signed and slabbed. Now that I hear you won it, I'm glad I didnt bid, so everybody can get a bit of RRP love.

I was pretty happy. I have a regular 9.9. Saw where u just picked up an FP 9.9. Very nice. Great price.

  9. A little steep for a raw, but these have been hot. One just sold on these boards for $350 for a 9.6 yellow signed by Dragotta. I'd definitely try to make an offer.

Not saying u will see it happen again but 2 CGC 9.8's just sold for $385 and $362 within the last month. Buying a raw w/ no guarantee of grade at the same price is risky.

i dont think they'll end under $400 again. those both ended while NYCC was occuring

do you mind tell us how much you paid for your blue 9.8, please?

I got mine for $362. I am still "pitching a tent"!

  11. No, i didnt see much of anything up on the main floor. NYCC is alllllll about Artists Alley :D

NYCC's Artist Alley is really top notch. I've gone to SDCC for the last three years, so NYCC usually isn't worth it. I only go to NYCC because my little cousin wants to go. Their Artist Alley definitely makes it worth it for me.

The only thing I will say is EoW is about as good as it gets...so I think a raw RRP has the potential to be worth $400+ but like I said I think the real key is whether u are buying as an investment or as a collector. If u are a collector I think u could rationalize paying high because u will never sell. As the Ranger develops this comic is only going to increase in value. I say buy it if u believe the condition stated is legitimate and u have the cash. 5 years from now $300 is going to seem like a steal. I turned down a Walking Dead #1 CGC 9.8 because $850 seemed too high...ugggggh!

I definitely see your point, and I'm definitely not going to close the door entirely on this particular one. However, I'm definitely little hesitant, if for no other reason than that there's another raw that ends tomorrow that's at $102 right now (which will obviously go up), there's the potential to use that finished auction as a negotiating chip, and there's a 9.6 RRP with a 9.8 first print for $400.

As for why I'm buying it, I definitely want one for my collection, but I also wouldn't mind getting a second one for down the road.

    Sent u a PM

  13. NICE!

i would have snipped it, but forgot about the listing because of being at NYCC

And to think I was upset I didn't go to NYCC. :)

BTW...while you were at NYCC did you see any of these 14 page preview issues of this comic called "Spread" they were talking about on Comics Heating Up? Lone Wolf and Cub meets John Carpenters The Thing. Looks awesome.

True. I got the one that went for $362. Still can't believe it. Looks good next to my #1 regular cover CGC 9.9!!!

Now if u are purely collecting I say go for it. It will definitely be worth that much some day IMHO.
