Very Pretty,
Next Time I see you bidding on something, I'm going to just keep on bidding as you've got enough for any one GGA collector already.
I can see that you typed something but your words make no sense.
OCD......I've got it too, just have to pay for the family fun first.......my pace in collecting is much slower than Skybolts....

My favorite comicbook cover of all time.......
Nice book, But Why your favorite?
Lou Fine is my favorite artist...although a minor character...the image evinces the grace and lyrical quality that Fine brought to the drawn page.....for me it just is mesmerizing.....motion that you can feel although it is static......look at the care to the wrinkling of clothes......it just does it for me....different strokes for different folks.....jon
Works for me, I was just curious. Thanks
Collin

You make me feel like an inadequate collector... and umm.. poor. Heh.
Awesome collection!
Thats how The Dentist makes me feel. Your not alone..
It's all perspective.....I could buy an action 1.....and maybe someday I will.....but right now, I'd rather eat and feed the kids.

What else ya got.......
Always a pleasure to view those beauties.

That was a great read, thanks for posting it.

Kudos to Rhino for a couple nice pre-hero Atlas books.
Thanks

It's a shame that the artists on these 1940s Marvel covers didn't get any recognition. Covers like this should be comic book classics, kind of like Vargas pinup calendars, even if this joke does borrow just a little bit from our redheaded friend in Riverdale.
Ah,
Yes, they are comic book classics that many of us cherish. Right now they are still very reasonable, but as more people become aware and compare them to other GGA type genres, these will start showing up on many wantlists.

My grail. Paid insane money for it but it is super scarce.
Newbie question here --- is it just this issue (#79) that is scarce? Or, are other X-men "reprint" issues btwn #67 and #93 also rare? In either case, is this because of a small print run?
It's all about the number on the slab.

It's a dry cold....not like that humidity cold you get their in Chicago. No bone chillers here.

Let there be calm here!!!!

I think that cover is a must have.
I just realized that I am really drawn to covers with falling snow. It came to me as I posted a Nightmare mag with that effect in comics general.
Does anyone know of other Cole covers with falling snow?
You should move to Alaska and just read your comics outside.

Here's Popular Teenagers, Secrets of Love #15! I love the rich colors on this one, plus the cool snowflake pattern and unusual composition. The OS Guide also lists this book as having possible Wood art on one story, which was an added incentive for me to track the book down, but except for the lead Disbrow story the art inside is horrible. If Wood worked on one of these stories, he sure didn't stay up all night on it...
Very cool. I think that's the book I want for an example of Cole's romance work. I really like the snow.

Kudos to
Collin "Comicdey" for two bronze slabs pack like a pro and shipped fast always great to deal with
Buck Biggins For a very nice Bronze slab with a awsome Adams cover, two raw books that were very very well graded and a couple of feebees readers
But I still wanna call you Buck "Baggins"
thanks Lawrence
And Kudos right back to you.
I'm fast when I can be, but lately the world is spinning too fast. I'm taking this weekend to clear up all hangers on in the CGC boards deals. Pulling from lists, packaging, and getting ready for shipping. Even finalizing the CGC submission for you with the LM1. I just need to find more time or take a few days off work. I'm bagging and boarding in the evenings. Last night I bagged and boarded XMEN 104-150, and some nice Sgt. Fury books and a couple of FF's in the 100's high grade. I'm grading as I go, so it takes a while. Not scanning yet as then I'd never get done.
Lots of fun, but I'm sleep deprived.
Thanks again. Always a pleasure.

Kudos to comicsupply for quick shipping of bags and boards etc. to alaska. I've been waiting to board up this collection.
forgot to mention the freebie of john romita spider-man visionaries and 52 book 1 and 2.
I guess I'll have to read a modern again. First one in quite a while. I'm sure I've missed a lot of good stories.
Thanks
