  3. I watched that one.....nice sale and a very nice copy.
  4. but well worth it.....time for the update to the missing issues......
  5. I'd take the More Fun....and the spectre has a ton of potential for future story lines if DC would ever really get him involved. Plus with the aging collectors, the spectre is a better grittier read in general. Spectre for the next 30 years until we all die off, and then WW for all those people that grew up on care bears.
  6. It will be interesting to see how your Batman run gets absorbed into the collecting world. In time all good collections get pushed back into the mix. You need to try for something tough now, like a MINT run of Phantom Stranger.....or Rex the Wonder Dog.
  7. :cloud9: Hey Bill, have you had a chance to watch any of the FG animated series? As fun as some of the other versions are, I still maintain that it's the best adaptation of the original Raymond strip. And just so I don't get accused of derailing this thread, here's a Flash Gordon group shot! (thumbs u Jeff I need to pick up a copy of the flash gordon with what looks to be moongirl on the cover....
  8. Excellent additions.....very nice run you've got going on there Bullet
  9. Always loved this cover for some reason....being from Alaska and all... I like the mid rn Adventure Comics too....too bad I don't have a ton of em.
  10. what does the inside cover look like on that jumbo...anyone have a low grade reader to scan the interior. I want to see what the transfer image is. That's just an incredibly bright copy. Thanks for sharing.
  11. that has to be the best looking oldest book i've ever seen! Thanks to Bill (Ciorac) ....was a long time coming....De-slabbed 9.0
  12. That's a great looking piece, Bill. Congrats! Thanks Angelo, I am really pleased with it. That seats gotta hurt....great pic.
  13. What a great group of pulps...(protect those overhangs)....or "trust your hang".
  14. I only needed one...but I am going to Hawaii in November....pm me a big offer....
  15. I already had a couple 27's.....so I went for the industrial copy.
  16. Gotta love all these covers being shared... Now for my latest acquisition....TEC 30...forget that batman guy, I wanted the guy with the acetylene torch....(must be the structural engineer in me)....at least the cover promise batman's inside....(now to go confirm it). Thanks to Ciorac for making it happen. Kudos to you.
  17. (You know, this might be the first image posted in this thread that actually resembles something I own!) I'm not familiar with Wimbledon Green but its subtitle, "The Greatest Comic Book Collector in the World," reminds me of Supersnipe. supersnipe Do you have the V1#9 hitler cover too...you already showed me your v1#8....gotta love em. Also do you have the late V4 issues and the V2#1 Gerber no show?
  18. Sweet book, Sean! Did you get that from the Comic Heaven auction? I apparently won a couple of Lost Valley Tip Tops but I just got the invoice a couple of days ago. I actually won it on eBay. And I was actually NOT sniped in the last seconds, which I would have bet money would happen. I looked like this guy - - when I realized I wasn't sniped. I love the war-era Rip Carson stories also. Great propoganda of the type you don't see anymore in our "enlightened" era. I bid a bit on that one, and wasn't around on closing ...nice book....good pick up.
  19. glad you liked them... Kudos to Piper for always being there for me when I need to ship books to canada.
  20. KUDOS to Chainball.... excellent ASM 100 (sent as a trade that I've yet to complete) and a CGC 4.5 Showcase 34....anyone need a raw copy? Thanks... Definately a class act. Cheers
