The comic in reality looks nicer than the scan. The odd placement of the staple and the off center way the cover was trimmed makes it look like the book has a rolled spine, when it doesn't. Oh well... Looks good to me, thanks for sharing.

What grade are you looking for? I think John is probably looking for #92 the way I was looking for #41 for a while. He (reasonably) wants a real bargain, since there's loads of mid-to-high-grade copies out there, and because he (once again reasonably) figures he's one of the very few people actively looking for this issue! Not quite what I meant. I know that Walter Lantz, Walt Disney and Leon Schlesinger were real people, but I seriously doubt that they drew all the comic books with their names on them. I wondered who actually did the art on the Oswald cover. I suppose it's possible that it was Lantz himself, although Disney or Schlesinger themselves probably never drew a line for Dell. Jack yeah....what was I thinking...

I have one of these somewhere. I'll look to see if I have some of the info that the seller gave me. I've had a couple of these over the years, and they seem to be consistent with the Overstreet description: 26-(nn, nd)- Cover in one color (10 cent, 36 page; Issue No. blanked out. Two variations exist, each contain half the regular #26). though I think both had the same contents(1st half of the book).

You're thinking of Wow #2 Mark. I don't know of 4-5 of them turning up this past year, but there was a complete set recently which is pretty mind-boggling. The only copy of #2 I ever owned is now safe in the Jon Berk collection. Great stuff BZ! It's always a treat to see your new photos I've seen 3 Wow #2s: Jon Berk's, the Lost Valley copy, and the copy in the set sold last year by Al Stoltz. I have a Wow #2 in my collection. A fine copy. It's listed in the overstreet, and there are two 1/2's to the book....not sure if it was some sort of promo, or canadian.

I have always been fascinated by this cover. And while probably already talked about to death. Here goes. The first time I saw this cover I thought several things, " I sure hope the gun barrel isn't hot" then "WTF is wrong with that guys knuckles?" And , "Hey that cop looks like John Wayne." But alas the pattern on that green coat keeps me coming back. I love it. Great, great book. Ze- GA wolverine...getting ready to pull out the blades.. schnikt....
