anyone else having their 'shipped' submissions still being sent out thru USPS even though you requested Fed Ex?

Yes. It just happened to me last week. I'm not sure why they changed it.

I have an old economy sub for UPS with a UPS hub as the address. I'm hoping they don't try to change that as UPS will reject another carrier.

Last year I decided to try 5 books without using the fast track.I mailed them in July 2021 they opened them on September 13th 2021 and they’ve been sitting in scheduled for grading since. :nyah: I emailed CGC back in April to get a rough time line with a “please continue to wait” response. Never doing this again. Is nearly a year wait now normal for this???

We have an economy slow track tat thread. Im in the same boat as well. Mailed end of July 2021. Rec'd/SFG 9/12. The good news is we should be about 10 days until GEI

Yup me too. I’m on that site several times a day. That’s why we just met up with him yesterday even though it was posted earlier in the week. He just had a care free attitude and the comics weren’t important. So it could’ve went to anyone not necessarily the 1st guy who contact him. Sorry about that. I kind of gave up too since I didn’t hear back from him. Some of the comics are rough since they weren’t bagged and boarded but all the comics will be for sale. There was only GI Joe 44 and Marvel Age 34.

I responded about 20 minutes after the ad was posted. I just figured if I insisted the other person would probably say something about new mutants 98 out of spite then we all lose. So I let it go.

I wish I was posting this in good spirits but earlier today (way earlier) out of dumb luck I called my neighbor. Earlier this week an ad had been posted walking distance from me. The seller never replied back to me but did to my neighbor who I called and mentioned he was meeting the seller of that collection. So I asked if I could come along with him. He picked me up and we drove 3 mins down to the local library. I had mentioned there was a New Mutants 98 in the ad (which is why I hoped the seller had contacted me lol). And he didn’t even see it was there! I paid $20 for the collection but since it was rightfully his he kept the books less the New Mutants 98 which we’re splitting the profits on after my pressing magic. The seller didn’t care for comics but did mention he had several “sentimental” SA he’s keeping like FF #4. After meeting he went directly on a walk with his wife to the park across the street. Goals. Here’s some quick highlights from the driveway

I was supposed to get that lot. Seller took 2 days to respond then gave me a wrong google number. The person with the number told me I had the wrong number the next day and I replied to the original post and he sent his apologies but he had already set a new appointment. I could have insisted that I was first but let it go. I'm glad it went to a good home.

What did the guy who got there first end up with?

He got the bulk of it all. There was probably about 8 more copies each of the Joe books. A run of Dr strange at least 10 copies each. A run of guardians of the galaxy 10 issues each. Superman 1 with Metallo about 70 copies. Some more Superman. More ghost rider about 15 copies each. Including the glow in the dark. I thought about getting more of those but i recently did a cgc sub with a bunch. I really like the painted covers. Overall I think I did pretty good especially with Ghost Rider 28. I should be able to make my money back on those and happy to have high grade copies of the Joe books for my collection. Most should be 9.8. It's been a while since I've seen a dealer lot of books. If only it had been new mutants 98 lol

Yesterday was a WILD adventure in looking at collections in the south.

1st was way out in the literal middle of no where.  The town only had a church and 2 houses that flanked it.  I didn't see another house for 30 minutes before the one the books were at.  Ended up being a kid selling his brother's comics.  He wanted way too much for everything so I did the @shadroch method and told him I'd take 50 books at the price I would be willing to buy all of them.  He let me take the 50 and I don't have to deal with 5 long boxes of the most unsellable junk.  Nothing super exciting but enough to justify the trip.

The 2nd was one of the more messed up I've ever experienced.  Responded to an OfferUp ad at 9:30 PM where he had UXM266, NM87 and late 80s/early 90s keys pictured.  Dude answers the door and his place is WRECKED.  He tells me it's because his crazy ex broke into his house and smashed all his stuff so he had to "fortify" the doors and windows so she doesn't come back.  He's talking a mile a minute about kids and baby-mommas and for sure was meth'd out.  I gave him the cash, we talked for a second about I don't even know what.  As I'm walking out, there's a dude I hadn't seen until this point who's passed out while sort of standing, sort of leaning his face against the wall near the door - shirtless and FILTHY.  The guy I bought the books from kicks him and he wakes up and starts slapping the door knob and being erratic and talking gibberish.  Then I noticed the pipe, tin foil and lighter.  But it was weird because I've certainly never passed out like that from freebasing so I'm guessing heroine?  Maybe opium?

Pics or it didn't happen.

The Crusader is amazing.  Also one of my favs from the entire line.

It gets overlooked because of the Defiant.  But combining the Defiant and the Night Raven = Oh Yeah!

I don't mind the different color scheme either. I think it's pretty rad. Only change I didn't like was the top where the pilots are, how it doesn't have the hinge mechanism. It feels more realistic on the defiant, but I'm sure they probably had a bunch break.
