  1. My view on these books is this; I don't know where people are getting 'Int' from. There is no crossing on the supposed T and the three letters look far more like 'JUL', which if not standing for the month are more likely to be an abbreviation of the name Jules or Julius. Great books btw
  2. I would say no more than any other title. Hmmm, I can't seem to find any of the later issues for sale (65 and up) without tanning. I guess all the goods ones are being hoarded. Fiction House books are notorious for lower quality production, and that can include the paper they printed on so it is not uncommon to see tanning. The thing is I see tanning on all titles printed before 1950. I think the further you go back in time then this becomes more prevalent. Of the 4 planets I own so far the PQ is OW x 2, COW & OWW. That's not too bad I think. I only really worry about Brown or heavily tanned pages (in any books), which I don't see too often or anything that's Brittle. I have limited experience with planet books but they don't seem too different from other GA books in terms of quality of paper used, but I would say that EC books definitely used superior paper to their contemporaries.
  3. ...with some books, a little resto just doesn't really matter GOD BLESS... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) Totally agree
  4. Details on the "Int" books are very sparse, I did some research a few years ago and couldn't come up with much. They're not a recognized pedigree, but the books usually are very nice (average VF). Theory (and it's just a theory) is that they were issues destined for overseas via the U.S. Navy logistics chain. Whether they actually shipped to someone, if some copies were held back, etc., is anyone's guess. I have always been curious if this is the INT OO's sig. I have not seen it on any other copies. That's a new one on me, Andy - I can't read the signature too well, can you interpret what it says? looks like Francis Furch Given the different (I think) handwriting and pen v. pencil maybe the signature is of someone who happened to pick up this copy rather than the OO of the entire Int collection. First glance impression to me was that the pencil mark actually denotes 'jul' for July.
  5. You have to crack that book out. My notes say this issue has some of the best and weirdest precode horror stories that were published. Its a favorite! Correctamundo! Brilliant! People who don't read the books don't know what they're missing IMO.
  6. A couple of those panels (out of context) are extremely surreal
  7. Now that's pretty! I'm lovin some of the drool worthy Planets posted here, any for sale?
  8. Did you really only pay 1$ for this book? If so what a score!! No. The box cost a dollar. The book was a little more. Please, don't encourage him. Don't get you guys a man I do not know says something here so I take his word for it then you all act like ohhh my lord how could he have believed that. Get over it!! Sorry. Absolutely my fault. My attempt at humor failed miserably. I thought it was funny, but there's nothing funny about that book. Outstanding
