  2. @moonpool has a very impressive collection of rare Heade. Books you practically never see for sale.
  3. Yes, that's a very common and very understandable mistake. I thought the same thing until coming across an interview with Ellison discussing that same confusion. What makes it even more challenging is that, as James correctly noted, they both had their heyday with JD material. Pretty easy to conflate the two.
  4. There's only one person I would trust with that procedure and it ain't CGC. Keep your $9 and your books will thank you.
  5. Dang! Another big book toward the end of the run in gorgeous shape!
  6. This is a tough book, especially in high grade. Nice grab, sir!
  7. That's a good price for how scarce those are in high grades. Congratulations to whoever purchased it.
  8. That's a pretty tough early Midwood with no number. Nice copy. I appreciate your high grade snobbishness. It is tough not to love high grade vintage pb's but I've also learned that some books, you just have to be happy to have a decent looking copy at all. Extremely tough in grade. I have a lot of Midwoods and I don't have one. Nice pick up, James!
  9. That's a very cool catalog, dover! Such a treasure trove of original art. As a kid back then, $150 might as well have been a million, but the opportunities for some of those covers and pages were pretty incredible.
  10. Those are cool sets to go after. FWIW, I've been buying books for over a decade and I'm still in that discovery phase! So much great material over such a wide swath of time.
  11. For the Eerie Publications, Eerie Tales and the Weird Mysteries, those are all very respectable grades for those particular issues. Anyone collecting those would be lucky to find better copies.
  12. Man! Another Heade I've never seen before. Thanks for sharing, sir!
  13. Rick is pretty active here. And he's a man of excellent tastes.
  14. 100%, James! The landscape is so vast and there's an amazing number of features to get caught up with- scarcity, subject matter, cover art, age, etc. Nice books, by the way!
  15. There isn't one. None are designed for CGC cases that I have ever seen. My guess is the demand for that size is so low as to not be worth producing.
  16. Trimming is the work of the devil. Avoid it at all costs.
  17. The market is still too immature for strong clarity of values. Unfortunately, a lot of rarer books don't come to market but once every few years or so. Thus, establishing a price can be very difficult. I use ebay, abebooks, amazon, and a few other sites to try and get a handle on what's available and what books should go for.
  18. Looks great, pal! Very nice work putting this all together. I know you've been getting it sorted for awhile now.
