Just a quick note about these books. It's around 40 issues from the later part of the thread. All are very fresh looking although some have minor issues that hold them down from higher technical grades. I try to grade books to the grade I would want if purchasing. Do You Still Have Your First Piece of Original Comic Art?
Randall Dowling replied to Dr. Balls's topic in Original Comic Art
In fact, I do have my first OA purchase. Saw it, and loved the simplicity of it. Although not technically comic art. Here's my first purchase of legitimate comic art, which I still own also. -
Record Magazine Prices - Throw out your Overstreet Guide!
Randall Dowling replied to bounty_coder's topic in Comic Magazines
Heritage has been, fairly consistently, the worst place to sell magazines. It's just not, so far, the place that magazine collectors are looking for quality material. About 12 years ago, I purchased a copy of Eerie 81 CGC 9.6 W for $66. Not much has changed since then. -
Are prices still climbing or have they eased up a bit???

Wow! Who knew I had so much in common with him?

This is an unbelievably stupid character. I really miss when characters had strengths and weaknesses that made them relatable. Marvel's success was built on that for both heroes and villains.

Beautiful film. Well written, acted, directed and shot. It's incredibly difficult to maintain the pace and interest of a 3 hour film, especially in today's short attention span culture. Nolan did it masterfully by weaving the various threads throughout. One example, is when we see Niels Bohr (played by Kenneth Branagh) makes a surprise appearance later. It's been awhile since I enjoyed a movie as much as this. Full disclosure: I've been extremely interested in this topic for decades so I'm definitely biased to the subject manner. Still, I think it's a great film and definitely worth watching.
