  1. That's a gorgeous book!! Now more than ever, the number at the top is pretty dubious. The same well proven wisdom applies- "Buy the book, not the label". And that one is pretty sweet!
  2. This is a cool book. I've always like the color scheme. And that's a nice looking 7.5! When Adams did work like this, I always wondered what it would have been like if he had done illustrations of the early D&D modules and manuals. That would have been something!
  3. Apologies if my jest fell flat. That's obviously a tough book to upgrade.
  4. I don't like the way either one is looking at me. They look hungry. And confident.
  5. @Azkaban That's a brutal post, BTW. I had no idea you could get that many images in one posting.
  6. This is the star of that show. Should bring some money compared to others, even in that condition.
  7. I think you're pretty much single handedly responsible for bringing these to the attention of the greater comic collecting world. I would never have known about them had you not been so generous in sharing your research and understanding of ashcans. For that, and many other contributions, I'll always be appreciative. Like @PopKulture said, I'm glad you're doing it on your terms.
  8. It's an unusual space. The exterior is fairly unremarkable but the quality of light inside is carefully mediated. And there are essentially giant Rothko canvases in a midnight blue/purplish/black color with benches in front. If you're ever in Houston, it's worth seeing.
  9. What bothers me is the time between games of the Elder Scrolls seems to be growing geometrically. I'm very excited for the next issue but after that, it could be 20 or 30 years before the one after. I don't know how that's good for business but here I am, waiting patiently for the next one, so there's that.
  10. Off the top of my head, ASM 64 belongs on that list. Along with Peter Parker 1
  11. I think the yellow is due to who ever did the stripping for making the printing plates missing a piece. My understanding is that they could stop the run in process and fix it, which is why some copies would have the yellow and others don't. To be clear, I don't personally advocate for this kind of thing, but an argument could be made that the yellow stripe copies are "early print run" books.
  12. Thanks to all who purchased so far! I'm open to PMs with reasonable offers.
  13. Avengers 189, VF+ 8.5, Tough white cover featuring Hawkeye. John Byrne art throughout. This copy is very nice and fresh with white pages but has a non-color breaking dents that keep it from grading higher. 14. Avengers 186, NM- 9.2, First appearance of Chthon. Just a bright fresh newsstand like copy with white pages and full gloss. A few non-color breaking dents hold it back from much higher grade. Hot book with the development from WandaVision and the new Dr. Strange movie. I've always loved this cover and it's great composition. A copy that isn't as nice just sold on ebay for $175. This copy is $150 Sold to Comical Situations Back Cover:
