  1. How does Cgc grade ink spray onto the pages? I've seen several copies that have moderate to a good amount of spray from the webbing at the top of the front cover that gets to the interior pages, just curious if this affects the grade and how much.
  2. Man, Authority, you're on a roll right now brother keep it up I'm loving it
  3. Seems like a shill to me... Maybe they had some copies to unload
  4. You always have the nicest ss stuff Sean, that Miller is too good I didn't even know it existed. Very cool book, obscure one of a kind stuff!!
  5. Yeah I'm actually going to gem city con in Dayton and will probably do cinci comicon when it rolls around. Haven't found anything like mightycon or dancon yet unfortunately
  6. You are always a thrifty gentleman, haha and always have a knack for finding good deals. Very solid grade on the copy too, congrats. I'm upset I won't be seeing you or Hector at c2e2 this year
  7. Very nice Dave!! That was an awesome find, bet you're glad you stopped there on that vacation
  8. EB, that's a thing of beauty. I love his work. Congrats!!
  9. I purchased a high grade raw Bats 244 from Eric recently. Book was graded accurately, shipped fast and safe and was at a great price. Eric is a great communicator as well, I cannot recommend highly enough. Thanks!!
  10. Thank you neeidea, I was and am still very pleased with the grade. I cannot speak highly enough about the authenticity and quality of the copies comicopolis has sold on eBay. Seems to be a lot of 9.8's. And yeah, the crease is there on my book but faint, Cgc can be weird with certain printing defects unless they are known to be common on a run. And I agree with Cgc slabbing the cert. It's a nice touch and a piece that could easily be damaged/lost otherwise and to me has intrinsic value on its own. I love seeing his thread's resurgence. It was very helpful for me authenticating my book, and to others as well.
  11. Robert is a great seller who grades accurately and ships fast and secure, and communicates quickly. I'm very pleased with my purchases. I can't wait for your next thread!!
  12. Hope so. I just got my Suicide Squad 1 (11/11) back from CGC at a 9.6, the now classic Batman Harley Quinn #nn 1st print at 9.8, and I have the first run HQ #1 singed by Dodson on its way back from CGC. What is it about SS #6 and #7 that get a premium? What about the Gothem City Sirens #1? I just looked into this now out of curiosity, since I knew had a few Sirens issues. Surprised to find out how much these are going for. I think I need to unload my first and second print of #1 and #2. There is a Jones variant that sells very well as well. Its a tough find. I can second that on the Jones variant, been looking for one at a decent price and they rarely pop up, and if they do they've been higher than I want to spend.
  13. Thanks to the always amazing dscott for this one, a huge book for me personally. Wasn't requested, but grant even did an anarchy a on it and I almost lost it
  14. Recently purchased a Witchblade 1 from Nick and was very happy. The book was accurately graded and was shipped super fast with great packing. Top notch seller!! Thanks
  15. Anybody else think the end of that trailer got cheesy once wonder woman popped in?
  16. I think this is the main thread, just rolled in with issue 1 and the regular version of 8 This wtb gets into semi-recent sales a bit as well http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=8024546
  17. And what about zombies? Zombies bring in both male and female viewers as well as readers but Rick's piercing blue eyes have come up in several conversations I had with females about the show more so than the zombies . too rich
  18. MCS approves this message Crossing fingers for all those holders of 9.8's that it'll be a decent show, AOS sure didn't see much price bumps and its been on several seasons. Bitter? Nope I'm a realist. Factor in its netflix sure it'll have fans but I'm still not convinced these paid services trump basic cable tv shows right now in ratings. Maybe I'm too old and can't think outside the box enough. I liked Daredevil and binge watched them but it kinda kills the hype when the whole season is there on debut day IMO. These "paid services" 100% trump basic tv. What show still has raving reviews and is superior in quality ? Yup Daredevil...the show lots of people binged watched on its debut and are continuing to. A.O.S. hasn't seen much of a price bump in the comics because the show is mediocre and low on the quality barometer. What drives prices on comics is buzz and quality. The difference is the "buzz" isn't constant when the whole season is there to me. There really wasn't much discussion with my friends after each of us watched Daredevil. However shows that are weekly like Gotham, Strain, AOS has much more discussion in my groups of friends even casual conversations with people. I watched Daredevil over one weekend,,,,it was cool but after that it was a bit of a letdown to me, over too fast and a long wait till the next season. Ask yourself how many paid services are people really willing to spend over basic cable stations? You got Netflix, Amazon, HBO, Cinemax, Showtime & there go paid services. Add all those up and it is more expensive than a basic cable package. When 50 percent of Americans make less than 30 k a year and that is before taxes, add their cost of living plus family expenses cutting these paid extras are occurring whether that is promoted or not. I'm in my 40s. I work with 20 year olds. Many of them watched and wanted to talk about Daredevil. And they are average "kids". Not comics nerds I just pictured you as a DJ in a gentlemens club. "Next on stage...Electra!" I really liked Daredevil, thought is was done extremely well and maybe better than Gotham yet I enjoy Gotham more. Just can't tell if it's due to being more of a DC fan or how it involves a great deal more characters compared to DD. I like daredevil more and I'm a DC fan I think Gotham is too corny and I hate Jada pinkett in it. It has good moments, but I always just want to see batman doing some batmaning when I watch it
