  1. Yeah I've been watching eBay like a hawk thanks though slym. The one looks like it has a brfc tear or color rub and the other the one corner looks like it was nibbled on by squirrel girl... I might just have to wait it out. At the prices they've been fetching I'd rather try to get a Supergirl and the legion 23 Hughes or some silver/bronze books I've been eyeing
  2. Nice grab! Thanks vike, I was shocked that they had one and at that price. I thought for sure they'd have it at $200-250 in which case I would've passed. Still looking for a reasonable eosv 2 land raw or graded 9.8, after I missed the last one on the boards for $450 I think its too late
  3. I wasn't going to get the Hughes 1:100 but my LCS had it for $150 + 10% off for my sub service, so I snagged it, and its a 9.8 candidate. I believe its the only copy they had as I got there when they opened. They also had a stack of skottie young variants for $10 and a couple anka's for $25 that all looked nice. I already bought an anka so I passed since I wasn't planning on paying for the Hughes
  4. I'm so upset I missed that. I held back only BC i m waiting to hear from work tomorrow if I'm moving to Colorado for a promotion, or else I would've snatched it up immediately. Been looking for a reasonable 9.8. Congrats though court
  5. I believe 23 was the most recent update, and the Hughes is selling for around $300 on different shop sites, none on eBay that I've seen recently. I don't like it enough to pay $300, but it'll probably be the one to have knowing my luck and then I'll want it when it's a $1000 book... No link because I'm lazy but bleeding cool has been keeping track, check there $300 is WAY too much for a modern IMO. i'll be content getting the phantom variant graded and signed. I have paid and might pay more than $300 for a modern, but the risk to me is that the book isn't out yet. Hughes + super hot female character + hardest variant to obtain could equal a huge gain for some people, but at $300 to me it's a high risk. If I really really liked the cover maybe, but I don't, I like a lot of the other variants more. What if Hughes did a usual super sexy/risque cover for it like he has done in the past? His Supergirl and the legion 23 sells for well over $300, and quickly when they're listed.

  7. Kap I must say, you have excellent cover picking skills. Haha thanks Auth, both covers are great and anything Frison I love. She's super underrated, I asked her last year if she was going to do any full time art work besides covers and she said no and my heart broke. Her vampirella covers have been awesome. #slippers (see how I "slipped" that in there to not derail too much)
  8. I honestly love that deodato 2 variant. Probably my favorite of all the covers. Love the frison too, hoping to get that ss'd at c2e2
  9. Lady killer 1 seems to be doing pretty good already, sorry for no links but I'm on my cell and busy. One at about $15 (shipping included) with 5 days left and one at about $12 (shipping included) with 2+ days left. My girlfriend likes it, which usually is a good spec signal for me **both on ebay
  10. And I'm becoming more obsessed with the Land variant by the second. Reed, you and I have eerily similar taste on many books
  11. Thanks a lot Garf, really appreciate it. My girlfriend is gonna love it if I can get a commission for her. Great book. I've only read the first hardcover so far, have 2 and 3 at the house and 4 on order through DCBS.
  12. Thanks brother, I emailed the contact on his site (I'm guessing his wife). If someone has better contact info they could pm or whatever I'd appreciate it.
  13. Just got the email about c2e2 today, super excited to meet him and hopefully get a commission done, at least for my girlfriend but hopefully me too. Anyone have any info on his rates or anything else?
  14. Here's mine, one of my favorite series of all time, and one of my favorite writers of all time, even outside of comics. Two pride and joys of my collection: And good luck on your grade at CGC jaja, got my for ya!!
  15. Hoping someone can get me a poster and variant at image expo
  16. You're the man Felix. That Dragotta guy's no slouch either.
  17. As far as I know the connecting covers weren't offered through dcbs. Anyone know if they will offer them next month or at all? Haven't had time to do proper research...
  18. Anyone see the Forbidden Planet exclusive hardcover? Same I think as the limited except it has a signed bookplate featuring ghus (sorry for no umlaut). Would've grabbed that if I knew, ordered mine through dcbs already though.
  19. I'll pay $1 more than vikingreed for the 9.9, haha
  20. Yeah it was a September pre order so it's no longer on their site, just call or email their customer service and they should be able to help you out. Just look for their contact us area.
  21. Just to give anyone a heads up I was able to contact dcbs yesterday and add a couple @ $24.99 as of today if you're looking for one
  22. That's the plan for now. Nick Pitarra will likely be attending, too. And with them, we'll hopefully have a special guest. Hmmm.... very interesting. Thanks for the info
