  1. Back then No cell phones No internet and that Gerber and Bob O had great books ( Hence as close to Pedigree there was ) I did see a lot of these Mega keys myself since i bought my Tec 27 from him. Now back to the Action 7 G.A.tor
  2. If the Allentown Tec 27 is like the Allentown 29 it will never be beat.
  3. comicpedigrees.com says this abought Detective 27. ALLENTOWN One day in 1939, a young kid residing near Allentown, PA picked out his copy of Detective #27 over all other comics that month. He brought it home, fell in love with Batman, and carefully placed the comic away for safekeeping. Little did he know that out of the hundreds of thousands of copies printed of Batmans debut, this boys copy would end up being the most perfectly preserved in the world. That's why it's in Dave Anderson's collection
  4. The Ext Restored 4.5 Tec 27 just sold 161k. I would say right now The Tec 27 would sell for more. I dont see them for sale in low blue grade. I say both books are equal so in lower grade. I would think 425 k.
  5. The Dentist Dave A has a high grade copy we talked on the phone around 1982-1985 and he had just got the book when i got mine. I have not been in contact with since the 80s when i was selling on the CBG but i (think) he has a copy that would grade 9.2 but thats just hear say . I have heard there was a 9.2 or better out there and that book would break it all. I believe Dave has the Allentown tec 27 Isn't there a recent 9.2 added to the census? I didn't think that was the Allentown copy? The Allentown Tec 27 hasn't been slabbed comicpedigrees.com says this abought Detective 27. 6. I really think both Action 1 and Tec 27 are worth the same in 8.0 and under. I would think that that above 8.0 grade for grade Tec 27 would win. These 2 books have been neck and neck up and down for years so who really can tell and Mitch!!!!! its my story and i can tell it the way i want.

Ya thats what he told me back in the 80s NM/M .The way things were back then was Bob overstreet has the best Timely coll out there and E Gerber was as close to Pedigee there was. i don't quite understand the gerber comment please clarify. Back in the 80's there was no talk abought Pedigree books they were just nice coll found here and there. But Gerber had a lot of key books for his Gerber photo-journals and that was the talk at every con that i sold at. I guess the comment was my verson of a Pedigree was Gerber able to hold all these Rare books.

  14. Action 1 is 2nd to Tec 27 the guide just dont want to change it but the people have spoke!!!!!!!!!!!!. Look a new solo Batman movie whats that 10 now ? Sup got NOTHING. Action 7 is 1938 But All Star 8 1942 and shes king so date dont have s to do with it. Mitch dump any copy of Action 1 fast its now Related to Zack. Tec 27 is king. Batman 1 1st joker s Action 1 maybe 3rd real soon. . Show me the money....the top 4 prices ever paid is for action 1... Talk or speculation is just that... Bat v sup sure did not help the value of any comic.., however if ben's bat movie rocks look for a positive price bump I will agree with that in terms of value of batman. I have been a tireless fan of cap one on these boards for a number of years .. I still think there is a lot of play left in the book.. A great cap movie cannot help also and it appears from the early reviews the movie rocks as well I just saw the first trailer on dr strange... It was totally kick-assss marvel is on a roll... Zack is getting left behind in the dust. Top 2 Action 1s 9.0 beat the Tec 27 8.0 sale. SHOW me a white page 9.0 Tec 27 and it will outsell both Actions together since it will be the only Tec 27 9.0........... I will remind you the Tec 27 sale was years ago. Mitch do yoy really think that if there was a 9.0 Tec 27 white page that it wont beat the Action sales ? Please tell me.

  16. For the record, the budget on Deadpool was $58 Million according to Boxofficemjo.com, the admitted budget to B v S was $250 million....with the rumor that it was closer to $275 million. Deadpool also didn't have the 3D or IMAX receipts to pump up its totals With ur avatar i cant think.
  17. I'll gladly share my words of wisdom with you, my friend. You've provided the right kind of well lubricated environment. Heck, with enough alcohol even Zack's take on Superman might be palatable, ...and that's a major concession coming from me. Yup i really really like you. Let me get you a 2nd round my freind so Richard you and me can love our books.
  18. [MrBedrock]DavidMerryweather] Richard let me get you a drink this is a fun thread and i have more fun when im not alone.
  19. I liked the movie but NO i dont want him doing JLA it was not bad but i thought it would be better. I see it did beat Deadpool. http://www.flickeringmyth.com/2016/04/batman-v-superman-overtakes-deadpool-at-the-worldwide-box-office-now-eighth-highest-grossing-superhero-movie/
  20. When it's available for free I'll try to struggle through it and provide my own review. Hopefully, I won't be cleaning rotten tomato juice off my projection screen. Wait. You've depleted the electronic ink output of Upper Mongolia with your lambasting this movie and you haven't even seen it? Color me unpersuaded then. How could you possibly give any kind of informed opinion on the content or worth of the film? If only there was a catchphrase about judging a publication by examining the outer contents of its wrapper. Maybe someone will come up with something. Considering that he hasn't even seen the film his comments about it are as useful as a condom with a hole in the wrong end. I'm not paying to see it as a matter of principle. You do understand having principles, don't you? I made that clear at the outset. Once I've had an opportunity to screen Dawn of Injustice without helping WB and Zack Snyder pad their bottom lines, I'll review it point by point. The reviews are decisively informative and I have seen clips from the film. FYI, I paid to see MoS and have regretted contributing to it's grosses ever since. Consider my remarks on Zack's sequel as penance for the first film. Alas, your rude comment lacks condom sense. No offense, but as informed opinions go, your's is merely a propalactic that allows Zack Snyder and WB to abuse more sheep. Your'e the guy who didn't understand MOS right? The one who couldn't understand why Lois didn't realize that Clark was Superman at the end of the movie, even though she had worked out his identity in the first 30 minutes Do you have any more opinions on things you have no experience of? Books you haven't read? Jobs you haven't done? I won't sink to your level of personal invective. You're obviously confused. Perhaps that makes you the ideal audience for Zack Snyder's vision. They just dont know who you are.
  21. I gave you a beer on page 36 hope ur brewing a Jack and coke for me. +1 NOW I KNOW WHY YOU HAVE BREATHMINTS
  22. I gave you a beer on page 36 hope ur brewing a Jack and coke for me. Absotively poslutely! ...As long you aren't requesting Coke Zero. 24. WOW you are hard as s They should have used you as Lex Luthor All the boardes would pay and it would smash box office records. Spoiler: Naw, Zack shoulda cast Mitch as Pa Kent in the Dawn of Justice cameo and circumvented the big payday for Costner. For a few bucks and a screen cred Mitch might've straightened out young Clark via flashback, reminding him of his legacy as a hero before all the darkness and angst set in. Who other than Mitch could inform the disillusioned Clark that Action #1 is worth a fortune today because of two Jewish boys with a dream. Flood, schmud, ...Mitch woulda popped the disillusioned boy on the back of the head like Gibbs from NCIS and told him to MANNUP! After all, with a simple rewrite Supe could've parted the water like Moses instead of diverting the river and saved the farm and the great unwashed from drowning at the same time. Badda-Bing, badda-bang, badda-boom! No angst, no regrets, and the redacted 11th commandment revealed: Thou shalt not bore your audience. Now THAT is the story that would've smashed box office records! For you my man anytime
