About the USA 7 - the "p" in paul is very tough to make out, as it is under the store stamp, and it may not be there at all. There are markings there though. It might make a "p" or it might not. I'm just not sure what other letter would make sense there. If there is a "p" there, it appears to be upper case non-cursive. Also, there is another name written across the star in captain america's chest. It's also four letters. The first letter could be a capitalized cursive "F" or a "J". The next two letters appear to be lower case cursive "an", and the last letter looks like a lower case cursive "s". Does that ring any bells? (image is clickable)

Was there a USA 7 in that collection? I just bought a USA 7 on the bay. Not only did someone write "Joe Simon" on the cover. Someone also wrote "paul" in a style similar to many of the "pauls" in this thread, but I have no idea if it's the same paul. (image is clickable)

This is actually my reading copy of asm 300 that I bought off the spin rack when it was new. I had to wait for the newstand edition because the direct editions had sold out. I can't believe a book that I bought off the spinrack and read several times came back a 9.6. (Okay, I admit Matt might have had something to do with it.... )

Hurricane is thor's son, right? Not brother? In any event, he is only mentioned and not shown, so I don't think that counts as an appearance.

I'm not a fan of Garfield, but I am even less of a fan of yet another reboot. Garfield was adequate, no need to recast IMO.

The sticking point before was apparently marvel wanted to recast spidey and sony didn't. Has that been resolved?

Not much more to say? Some don't want auction at all. Some want auctions. Almost all of Both camps think auctions should be in their own sub-forum if we are going to allow them. Just up to the mods to create one for us and see how the cards fall. Yep...a couple weeks back Arch requested that we provide more thoughts on the subject. We've done that. Now, I think we're waiting to hear back from Arch regarding his thoughts. Not really for or against auctions but would definitely like to see them in their own sub forum.
