  1. My bad, but sadly I think your comedic point fell deafly on the bidders. For $3k+ you'd want to be able to look at your book and not wince
  2. The 9.8 has so many aspects to it that loose eye appeal.. it had to of softened the bidding.
  3. A very good question. I'm going to have a think on it, and come back to you.
  4. I' m all in for it staying hot. I've got the Slobodian 9.6, another 9.6, and the Northland 9.4. All rare white pages #3's.
  5. I just watched these two books go on the last clink sale and left my head scratching... which would you choose.. 9.8 $3,200 9.6 $2,176
  6. Thats frustrating to hear. Is there anyway of getting it sorted with CGC?
  7. Literally, some recent science concluded that nicotine is good in the prevention of alzheimers. As for being full blown cure ...have you ever known a smoker to forget where they put their packet??
  8. I'm in all the way on this one. Has CGC updated the notes on the books lately?
  9. Gotcha. That book has exploded, all grades are up for grabs. My own take is that I sold my collection off a few years back, but hung onto 3 copies of this book.. to be honest,I was never much of a fan of this issue next to the others.
  10. Blowing your entire decades comic budget on one book...not a key, not a first issue, not a first appearance, just slim in grade, is a bit scary to see!
  11. Well I'll be curious to see them when you get them
  12. Ouch, can I ask what was the bill on that order??
  13. Can I call them about the AF#15 9.0? I'm positive that's a lost book of mine #moderatorsthisishumour
  14. How much of this in the notes for the books? The transition for Canadian Price variants was hotly advocated by a few people. We saw the notation on the slabs change from "Canadian Edition" to Canadian Price Variant". And they even have their own price guide now. @valiantman do you know when/how long the change took for CGC to enact? I'm assuming they weren't a separate designation of the census data from the get-go way back in 03. Thanks in advance.
  15. The Canadian editions are plait out, so I'm curious to hear from him on this one.
  16. And then the next question would be addressed to Valiantman, to see if his database can separate them out.
  17. All the value rise is always pre movie(s) release. Afterwards, things really hit the skids. So don't go buying FF48 at the moment :P
  18. I did the same, sold everything but my #4, and oddly 3 copies of #3. I never even liked the book. But now have the Northland, and the Slobodian copies looking better than they ever did. Who ever saw this coming!??
  19. The author has a big CAF account? A friend in th art world has said many times exhibitions come with an angle attached to them. It's an exception if it's not.
