I work at home. We're trying to clean up yesterday's mess still, but I'm doing it surrounded by comics and with Endgame still running.

I'm relying on photos instead of scans most of the time, and I'm counting on the fact that many of you know me either from previous transactions or just watching me schlepp my books here. When yesterday's normally mundane software release went to pot, my plans to join my wife and son for the first leg of their end of summer trip also went down the drain. But now, all I can do is wait for the developers to fix this mess, and while I wait, I'm going to play comics, smoke a bowl, watch Endgame, and enjoy having the house to myself. We can only surmise that he did wrong. That's the main problem I have with all this.

While I find gw's behavior quite suspect and wouldn't be surprised in the least to learn he fabricated the story of misplacing it, only a complete newb to these boards would think it prudent to speak up for himself at this point. The piling on would be both swift and fierce. As @punksdropdirtysrh ends with, HoS is more fitting. The terms for inclusion on the probation list are being stretched here, and that's bad precedent.

Ya, I saw this and didn't want to pour cold water on it. First, I shared the server URL on more than one sub-forum here, and that was a wrist slap. Oh man, the shame I felt! And then, the complaint was basically, "You risk siphoning activity and members off the boards". My guess is that there's one CGC employee tasked with the forum, a few moderators are volunteers, and the rest is sub-contracted. They're very conservative and restrictive, but they have a business appearance to maintain. Another issue is that a lot of collectors here are older, and I would wager that even using a forum felt like a challenge to those people. Discord will freak some people the out. Regardless, best wishes with the server.
