  1. Congratulations!!! (Make sure you add your new Bute to the TMNT #1 thread too) It's only a second print.
  2. I purchased a copy of TMNT #3 NYCC variant from John. The communication was great and we agreed to a price that worked for both of us. Since we work close to each other we made the exchange in person. He is an honest seller and I would not hesitate to do business with him in the future.
  3. So, was it the grade the books received that you didn't like? or that you couldn't see the sketches? both? Cool to see the sketches I guess... Both I bought them slabbed because I got a good deal. I originally wanted them raw.
  4. Yep, so I unslabbed them last night. I like them better raw.
  5. I need some advise. So I was thinking of doing one of two things with my vol 4 #'s 29 & 30; first thought was to remove them from their cases and keep them raw, second was resubmit them for a qualified label. They both have Laird head sketches on the back pages that I am sure brought down the grade significantly. Keep in mind I only paid about $140 for both slabbed. Or should I just leave them as is?
  6. Anyone here have a full set of TMNT vol 3 that they are willing to sell? http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Board=60&Number=8171710&Searchpage=1&Main=350762&Words=&topic=0&Search=true#Post8171710
  7. Pick up this the other day for $14. Probably over paid but I am trying to get all the Solson prints. The miscolored Michelangelo print is the only one I got left.
  8. My #30 is also labeled vol 3 and my #29 is labeled vol 4. Strange...
  9. Just in from CGC. They did a really crappy job centering it but I am happy with the grade.
  10. Is it common for the staples to be discolored on the Turtlemania's?
  11. Solson published 8 books in total with 2 of them having cover printing errors. There could be more errors though...Solson did a crappy job and they even misspelled Raphael's name (i.e., Rafael). These books were creative ideas that were poorly executed. I saw one of the "How to draw TMNT" books with the faded cover with a BIN of $1100. Is that thing in high demand? I picked up the whole set, minus the "errors", for $40. I have never seen the faded Michaelangelo.
  12. Nice set! I am sure that finding those in 9.8 is a chore because of the black cover. Impressive!
